** News** I have been accepted into the Horticulture (Bachelor of Science) program in the School of Food, Agriculture and Natural Resource Sciences at the University of Minnesota. I begin classes on 9/8/2009. I'm VERY excited!**
I am sober as of 2/19/2009. I completed the inpatient and outpatient programs at Pride Institute (http://www.pride-institute.com/) It feels GREAT to be sober again after a relapse that lasted 16 long, long years.
Thanks for reading my profile. I'm a pretty easy going guy who loves to laugh. I enjoy talking to friends. I grew up on a hog and corn farm in Indiana. I'm from a large, close-knit family. I have also lived in California (LA & Palm Springs) from 1981 to 1993, then back to Indiana from 1993 to 2002, and now live in Minnesota from 2002 to present.

My partner, Jeff moved here to Minneapolis from Salt Lake City in August of 2007 and he brought his dog, Max, an Aussie Shepherd/Springer Spaniel mix with him. We are an open, playful couple, I am comfortable and happy with our 'options without restrictions' approach.
My passions are cooking, eating, dogs (especially boxers), and gardening/landscaping. Other interests include photography, art, printing, painting, glass blowing, music & films, architecture, nature, and sports to name a few. I follow all sports but I'm passionate about the Indianapolis COLTS. I also like amateur wrestling (I really HATE pro wrestling). I enjoy watching movies, DVDs and television. Add to that list knitting, and sometimes Wii. I LOVE watching TV: HGTV, The Food Network, America's Next Top Model, Top Chef, Iron Chef America, American Idol, Project Runway, Top Design, American Chopper, The Cho Show, Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List, Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency, Animal Planet, The Soup, The Daily Show, The Colbert Report, Next Food Network Star, Chopped, Ace of Cakes, Good Eats, Drop Dead Diva, Chuck, Heroes, Antiques Roadshow, Chopped, American Idol, Warehouse 13, Ugly Betty, The Fashion Show, Eureka, Shear Genius, Groomer Has It, Forensic Files, Cold Case Files, Overhaulin’. I read my friends' blogs on Live Journal every day and I look forward to sharing small tidbits of my life with them. I like to travel.
A special note for the guys into wrestling and looking for a match, I did wrestle in high school and college. I was state champion (Indiana heavyweight 1975-76, http://ihsaa.org/b-wrestling/IndividualChampions.pdf ) and I also won the gold medal at Gay Games 1 in 1982 in San Francisco. BUT I had hip replacement surgery in 2005 and I have been strongly advised by my surgeon to not wrestle again. Sorry ;-)
