A year today.
I miss him, remember him fondly, and am tempted to do a 21 gun salute in his honour, except that being Kay, he'd have gone for something other than guns. Acts of kindness probably.

the inquest

For those far away, the inquest into Kay's death was a few days ago. The cause of death was a big overdose of his patch-delivery pain medication, but with no evidence available as to how that could have happened the coroner had to record an open verdict.

Anyway here's a picture from a couple of years ago.

Hello everyone,

I knew Kay, but probably less well than anyone else here.

I edit / assemble / word-of-your-choice the UK community press bisexual magazine BCN. Many BCN readers knew Kay, and I'd like the next issue to have some sort of a tribute piece that explains who he was for those who didn't know him too - perhaps how the alt. group came about, to take an example I know a bit about.

Would any members care to nominate their own writings already in existence about him, and/or be interested in writing something?

It needs to be done in the next 3 weeks or thereabouts.

Please comment here or email me on editor at bicommunitynews.co.uk

Thankyou :)

Introduction

Welcome.

I'd been thinking for a while that someone should set up a community where we can post stories about Kay. I kept reading lovely tributes to him in various people's journals, but I don't know everyone who knew him - and I don't think anyone else does, either. He had too many friends and acquaintances in/from different places for anyone other than him to know them all.

So here is the community. You have to be a member to post an entry, but anyone can comment. Please feel free to share whatever memories you have, no matter how small. (You can post friends-only if you wish your thoughts to remain private within the community, though currently I'm allowing anyone to become a member - since I don't know the usernames of all of Kay's friends!).

Photos are also welcome - Kay hated having his picture taken, so there are painfully few photos of him around.
