Quite possibly the best game of Power Grid I've played. [livejournal.com profile] irilyth, [livejournal.com profile] think_too_much, and [livejournal.com profile] uncleamos on BSW. We were cash tight the entire game. We emptied the power plant market. Completely. There was no rushing to 17 to end the game. The game plodded alonjg, plodded along. Eventually, I had 34 (N -> 5), 30 (GGG -> 6) and 46 (HHH -> 7). I was the only one at 18, due to the right distribution of plants and the right plants being missing (31 CCC->6, 38 GGG->7, 39 N->6, and 29 H->4), and so eventually I won, luckily nobody could afford to build to 17 before I got to 18 (and everyone but [livejournal.com profile] uncleamos got to 17 that turn). Awesome I say, awesome.

Uhhh.....

I just played a game of Ticket to Ride: Europe online where two players were hoarding cards. So much so that we actually ran out the deck. As in there were fewer than five cards available to be taken, so there were only like three cards face up. It made completing the giant tunnel in the north relatively easy, as there were no tunnel penalty cards to draw. It was weird, to say the least.

Music = Friday afternoon survival. Some Handel recorder sonatas, the first two Bach cello suites (which were a mistake, as they almost put me to sleep), then heavy doses of Cake and the Old 97s. Satellite Rides has been my 5 O'clock on Friday album of choice for a long time now.

Serenity was good.

My Carcassonne set has a dragon.
