Nominations are now closed. Mods will be doing tagset cleanup tomorrow - expect a finalized tagset spreadsheet and open signups on August 5th.

Final queries below.

For Genshin Impact:
 
Freminet/Lynette/Lyney (Genshin Impact) - as far as mods can tell, Lynette and Lyney are canonically siblings, but whether Freminet is a third sibling or not seems to be a matter of debate. Is there a particular interpretation nominator was intending? 
 
Kong | Aether/Ying | Lumine (Genshin Impact) - it seems to be a matter of debate as to if these characters are siblings or a dualistic single entity. Was the nominator intending a specific interpretation? We can leave it blank, add this as either siblings or selfcest, or add it as both.

For Stranger Things:

Flayed Steve Harrington/Steve Harrington (ST) - is Flayed Steve Harrington a canonical character state, or would it be more appropriate to approve Steve Harrington/Steve Harrington and request this specifically with optional details?

The bugged nomination has been removed and our tagset is functional once again! Thank you, AO3 Support! Now we just hope the bug doesn't return. To that end, if for whatever reason you choose to remove a ship from your nominations, please replace it with either another ship or placeholder text.

If you have any rejected ships on your nominations page, it's because they were duplicates of something already in the tagset, including tags that were added manually from emails or DW comments. If you believe something has been mistakenly rejected, please re-submit it or reach out so we can add it manually if you're out of slots.

Apart from the ships being queried below, everything should be approved now. If you have a lingering unapproved nomination, please let us know! 

Incarceron Series - Catherine Fisher:

Incarceron/Sapphique (Incarceron) — nominator, how are these characters related, or else how do you want them to be related? If we don't get a reply by the time nominations close, this nomination will be rejected, because as far as mods can tell, Incarceron is a location, not a person, and how it might be canonically related to Sapphique we couldn't guess.

The Locked Tomb Series | Gideon the Ninth Series - Tamsyn Muir: 

S!Necromancer/S!Cavalier (TLT) — nominator, are you envisioning these as original characters, or is this an "Any Necromancer/Any Cavalier" situation? If we don't get a reply by the time nominations close, we'll approve this as S!Original Necromancer/S!Original Cavalier.

The Lorax (2012):

Self!Greed-ler bot /Self!Oncie bot (Steampunk AU) — nominator, are the Greed-ler bot and Oncie bot canon characters in this film? We've approved Self!Greed-ler/Self!Once-ler already, but the only baked-in AUs this exchange allows are incest AUs. 
 

Warhammer 40.000:

Drach’nyen/Neoth  — nominator, how are these characters related, or how do you want them to be related? If we don't get a reply by the time nominations close, this nomination will be rejected.

Situation Partially Resolved! Please Send Help

Thanks to some very helpful anons and a bit of detective work, we've figured out a workaround that's letting us access the nominations page for unapproved fandoms as well as certain approved fandoms. We cannot see any nominations for approved fandoms SK8 the Infinity onwards, including fandoms with CJK characters at the start of their canonicals.

If it is at all possible for the nominator of the Shoujo Kakumei Utena | Revolutionary Girl Utena ships which were doubles and then later deleted to go put placeholder tags (or other RGU ships) in place of those two slots, that would be wonderful, and should probably solve the problem. In order to do that, you will likely have to navigate to your 'My Nominations' page, at which point you'll get an Error 500; adding /edit to the end of your particular nominations page web-address (https://archiveofourown.org/tag_sets/20086/nominations/[UNIQUE ID]/edit) should, theoretically, get around that.

If that isn't possible for whatever reason, mods will probably clear nominations tomorrow, which will unfortunately nuke anything currently waiting in nominations for approved fandoms which come later in the alphabet. This is obviously not ideal, but works out better than just hoping everyone leaves a comment here with their ships, as it'll give you all more time to get more nominations in.

Going forward, mods will be rejecting ship doubles. We apologize for any inconvenience.

ETA: If you had ships rejected and aren't sure why, they were probably put into the tagset manually, or were doubles. Also, Star Wars nominators may want to check and see if they have an Error 500 on their own nominations - if so, please do as the RGU nominator above has been instructed!

Hi all,
 
The AO3 backend broke on us last night, and we’re currently unable to see any nominations to approve. We’re in communication with AO3 Support and hope to have this resolved as quickly as possible. 
 
In the meantime, we appear to still be able to manually enter relationships. If you have unapproved relationships still on your nominations page, or relationships you’ve yet to nominate, you can reply to this post using the following format:

Please use the canonical name of your fandom, and format your relationships according to the RelationShipping rules - bang modifier if necessary, capitalized and unpiped names, fandom disambiguation in a parenthetical.

Batman - All Media Types and DCU:
  • All relationships currently nominated for the DCU tag are also Batman characters. As far as mods understand, as an umbrella tag itself, “Batman - All Media Types” would not significantly differ in the amount of potentially applicable canon it covers than the same relationship nominated under DCU. As such, mods are currently inclined to fold everything currently nominated in under DCU, and continue to approve specific shows or comics runs separately if/when they’re nominated. Does that work for all nominators?
  • Older Sister!Dick Grayson/Younger Brother!Batboys — is "Batboys" a defined group? If so, would it be possible to name these characters? 
  • "Parentified" requests — nominator, we're fine approving these as P/C and S/S respectively; but parentification or lack thereof should be specified as a preference in your optional details. Will that work for you?

There are doubles in the following fandoms: Game of Thrones, Revolutionary Girl Utena, Shameless (US), Star Wars - All Media Types, Star Wars Original Trilogy, and Twisted-Wonderland. Please check the tagset and if your unapproved tags match something already there, you can delete it and request something else in the same fandom tag if you like. When we reject the doubled nominations, you will lose that slot.

We're still waiting for nominators to weigh in on Gravity Falls, Harry Potter, and House of the Dragon queries from the previous post.

  • P!Darth Vader/C!Leia Organa and P!Darth Vader/C!Luke Skywalker were requested under both SW AMT and SWOT. They’ve been approved under SWOT. The AMT slots have not been rejected yet - if nominator intended another timeline/show, please disambiguate this, e.g., P!Darth Vader (SWOT)/C!Leia Organa (Kenobi). 
  • P!Darth Vader/C!Leia Organa/C!Luke Skywalker was requested under SW AMT; it will be approved under SWOT. If nominator meant for another timeline/show, please re-request with disambiguations!
  • S!Boil/S!Waxer, S!Cody/S!Rex, S!Echo/S!Fives, and S!Jesse/S!Kix were requested under SW AMT. As far as mods can tell, these characters are all from Star Wars: The Clone Wars (2008) and will be approved to that fandom tomorrow unless we’re told otherwise.

Hi, all! Thank you for being patient with us while we’re working out the kinks with the new nomination process - some of your ships are a lot more creative than the mods are! To remind everyone:

  • Please disambiguate your nominations! Add the fandom in a parenthetical.
  • Avoid piping unless it’s absolutely necessary.
  • Use bang modifiers to show the relationship of characters whenever it’s reasonable to do so (siblings, etc); if how they’re related is particularly complicated or esoteric (someone has nominated a sentient sword made out of the other half of the ship’s eyeball? Slay, TBH), you can leave it blank and drop a line here or by email to let us know how they’re related.
  • Selfcest can be left blank, if it’s very obvious (Spock/Mirror Spock, Morty Smith/Evil Morty Smith, etc), or you use “self” as a bang modifier if it’s not (e.g., self!Femto/self!Griffith).
  • Unrelated characters in a threesome or moresome can be left blank or written as “unrelated!Character”.
  • Incest AUs are welcome!

Because there’s relatively little overlap between various Drakenier games and many people have played Automata but not other games in the series, the mods are currently inclined to approve Automata-exclusive ships to Automata, Replicant-exclusive ships to Replicant, and so on, with “crossover” ships to Drakengard & NieR - All Media Types. Does that work for everyone?


Dungeon Meshi:


Falin Touden/Laios Touden — is the nominator okay with this being approved as S!Falin Touden/S!Laios Touden?


Game of Thrones:


Cousin!Jon Snow/Cousin!Sansa Stark has already been approved with the fandom disambiguation — if the nominator of the unapproved version would like to replace this with another ship, please do! Otherwise you will lose the slot when we reject it.


Gravity Falls:


Child figure!Soos Ramirez/Father figure!Stan Pines (Gravity Falls) – are you okay with this being approved as C!Soos Ramirez/P!Stan Pines, or something else?


Harry Potter:

Jujutsu Kaisen fandoms:


Several nominations have already been approved for the JJK manga; we also have JJK nominations for the anime waiting to be approved. Mods intend to keep these separate for now, but if the nominators would prefer them combined under (Anime & Manga) for whatever reason, please let us know!


Mob Psycho 100:

  • Both Star Wars - AMT and specific trilogies have been nominated. Mods are currently considering approving ships under their particular trilogies or TV shows, and putting crossovers between various Star Wars properties in Star Wars - AMT. Does that work for you all, or is there something else that would work better?
  • Relationships with several of the same characters have been nominated under both Star Wars: The Clone Wars (2008) - All Media Types and Star Wars: The Bad Batch (Cartoon) - S!CT-21-0408 | CT-1409 | Echo/S!CT-27-5555 | ARC-5555 | Fives/S!CT-7567 | Rex and S!CT-9904 | Crosshair/S!CT-27-5555 | ARC-5555 | Fives/S!CT-9901 | Hunter.
