i feel like men got too comfortable directing 3 hr movies. like that's manspreading on a cultural level. go back to 90 min movies. i have other things to do this evening. wrap it up charles dickens, you aren't being paid by the word
Oh my god I need help. Like physical and mental health both right now. I’m marathoning Lord of the Rings extended editions with a friend. We just finished Two Towers. When Arwen and Aragorn are somewhat fighting over whether he’ll be back from this war. And he tries to give her back the Evenstar. And she tells him, “It was a gift. Keep it.” And so help me god I’m so fucked in the head that even during a nonstop marathon, my first thought was Dean’s mixtape.
How can this show parallel so so so many blatant/iconic romance scenes and tropes but people STILL say it’s imaginary subtext??
I can’t fucking sleep and this intrusive thought hit me like a ton of bricks again.
This scene always makes me think of what Layla told him in Faith (1.12): “If you’re gonna have faith, you can’t just have it when the miracles happen. You have to have it when they don’t.”
The first thing Dean ever truly put his faith in was Castiel. He showed it by being a loyal friend, even when Castiel was clearly acting shady. But Castiel was too wrapped up in his mission, Machiavellian goggles strapped on, to see just how much he affected Dean — to see that he inspired a man who was a staunch atheist, even in the company of genuine angels, to have faith.
Spiderman: Brand New Day was actually a 2 hour documentary on how repressing your emotions will fucking kill you
i'm glad they gave us spike painting his nails on screen. they could've just never addressed the fact that his nails are always painted but they gave us spike alone in his crypt painting his nails criss cross apple sauce
The problem with nuclear power plants is that you would want the workers to observe the processes carefully to avoid disaster, however nuclear power plants generate energy by boiling water, so the plant technicians can’t watch what’s happening or the water won’t boil due to the Watchpot Phenomenon. Thankfully scientists have overcome this hurdle in recent decades by squinting so the water thinks their eyes are closed and that it isn’t being watched
Terry Pratchett couldn't have written it better.
Y’know this is the second time someone has compared this post to Terry Pratchett, I’m honestly really honored
