strength like a weapon in a scabbard on my hip

I work full time as a receptionist at a real estate company, and I'm a student at Metropolitan State University in Denver. I finally pulled off going back to school in the fall of 2007 (and believe me, it was a bit of a trick to do so), after far too many years of allowing "stuff" to get in my way of getting a degree. I am aiming for a B.A. in Psychology, with the intention of working as a counselor until I complete my PhD, at which point I intend on going into Research Psychology. I will also be minoring in English, with an emphasis on Writing.

I am completely in love with my boyfriend, Chris, and there is often mention of him in my journal, so be prepared for that. We live together, have been a couple since we met in October of 2005, and he's quite possibly the best thing that's ever happened to me. If you find any of this to be off-putting, well, you have been warned.

I've been an LJ user for many years, though this is my new journal. You can view my old journal at bluemoonchica. I stopped using the older one simply because I had grown up a little after having taken some time away from LJ (due to lack of internet). Once I was able to update regularly, I found it was like writing in someone else's journal. Yikes! Time for a change...
