Randominity

So on the Penny Arcade MMO forums, there's a thread where you can share your happy moments, bitching, hoping, etc. regarding gaming. Now, since 95% of the universe the forum members play WoW, this is dominated by WoW chatter that is no better than Russian to me, full of acronyms and nicknames and references I will just never understand. Which, fine. There's more of them, they have more to talk about.

Yesterday someone who plays GW posted their own message, about beating an elite boss in an elite dungeon. I've never played the guy myself, because I am far from elite, but I've heard of the boss and the dungeon and understood the terminology for once and it was just NICE, to see something that wasn't WoW for ONCE.

Immediately following that post, someone responds with something like "what language was THAT?" -_-;; and two pages later people are saying "can we talk more about WoW and less about stuff that is not WoW?"

Oh god forbid someone NOT PLAY WOW and talk about it on the one board that is NOT DEVOTED TO WOW unlike the DOZEN WOW THREADS currently active on the board. Jesus crumbs. This is why I hate 95% of WoW players, and dig my feet in more and more firmly in the "don't like WoW" camp. I like being in the "hey, I just didn't enjoy it, but more power to you if you do" camp but I HATE THESE PEOPLE. GARRRRRR.
