randominitySo, since I'm apparently the only person who isn't even remotely attracted to Heroes' Nathan Petrelli, let us turn our thoughts to another of my weird attractions, shall we: what is it about that David Hewlett?
See, I'm used to liking the weird/unique-looking buddy/sidekick of the Super Hot Lead Guy(s) that everybody ELSE likes, and getting my little corner of the fics where he's not written out entirely and maybe even gets some loving of his own. This SGA thing is weird because suddenly there's this huge fandom of people who love the weird/unique-looking buddy/sidekick!
It's not just because I'm selectively friending people, either! The Joe Flanigan fans (and![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
vandonovan, hehe) are looking at the enormous amount of David Hewlett fans and saying, "wait, what?" and there are people on my flist who don't know anything about SGA except that David Hewlett is a Sex God So Awesome. It's kind of freaking me out. I'm not used to being in the majority, here - or even close to the majority - or even part of a small faction within a faction who has a mostly-dead mailing list on Yahoo!.
Okay, I get that he's a nerd and more "like us" that way and all that, but truth be told, I liked Rodney McKay long before I started paying attention to David Hewlett and much longer before I knew DH was a geek, and if I knew a Rodney McKay in real life I'd be bitching about him every day in my LJ and fantasizing about punching him in the face. So why do I think he's so adorable? Why do we?
In conclusion: God, this icon and sound clip both make me so happy.
