I had my one-month post-Lasik appointment this morning. I'm finally 20/20 in both eyes! \o/ I was a bit worried because I accidentally poked myself in the eye with a spoon at
vandonovan's on Saturday (don't ask. Just... don't), but apparently no harm was done. Go me.
I'm over feeling like I need to take out my contact lenses all the time, but I AM still surprised when I wake up in the morning and can see clearly. I also catch myself taking my vision for granted more frequently. But it's awesome vision, so yay.
I'm going to have to train myself to stay off the internets during the evening for the rest of the week, because I reallyreallyreally need to practice piano for my friend's wedding. ^^;; No Kingdom Hearts or Oblivion or Guild Wars for Em! *stern determination* Of course, that means no SGA, either.
And that said,
:( :( :( :( :( Viral outbreak stories suck. They make me so angsty, and I found this one truly scary. No massive hemmorhaging, though, which I thank the powers that be for, but still alarming. That Sheppard/Weir confrontation was gonna happen eventually, and I like the way it went down. Although I still think Weir needs to be kicked or something. I dunno. Poor McKay! And Zelenka! And Ford! I honestly thought this might be the episode where Ford bites it, but I guess he'll live another day. Oh, and I also liked the continuity from The Storm and The Eye, just to show that everything isn't running "all systems normal" after massive flooding and storm damage.
Umm... and that's it, I guess. Back to working overtime to make up all the time I'll be taking off for the wedding. Sigh.

Date: 2006-07-25 01:09 am (UTC)I love Ford in this ep so much! I miss season 1 Ford a lot. When he hugs McKay at the end of this ep, it makes my heart squeeze. *g*
Doesn't McKay's I'm-about-to-die speech just kill you dead?
