Vision 20/25, plus 5 out of 6 letters correctly read/guessed on the 20/20 line, so I'm just about there. Everything's healing normally, and I'm told I should see a significant reduction in the halos I see around lights within 2-3 weeks. As it stands, they're not bad enough to seriously interfere with my vision (which is good!) but improvement would be nice, too.

I'm still really, really, really happy I did this. Yeah, it was a lot of money, definitely :/. But for what I've got in return? Whether my recovery's just luck or the odds really are that good, I'm beyond thrilled to be able to see without outside assistance. Big yay from over here. \o/

Congrats on being able to see sans glasses/contacts.

Oh, how I wish I could get laser.

You are now in the ranks of those who can see perfectly without corrective lenses required, and you can change your driver's license now.

Ahhh, you're right! No more class A restriction!

Don't worry, I may be one of the "sighted" ones, but I will always remember what it was like for the previous 22 years :/. I wish you could get laser, too :(.

They said I could get laser when my vision goes wonky when I'm about 40-50. To correct for near and far sight. Bunch of crap to wait that damn long to me.

It's still 22 years of corrective lenses for me, and prolly another 40-60 more.

Okay, that's dumb! I could see them saying to wait until you were 25+ to make sure your vision was stable, but to flat-out say that they wouldn't do it until you were at an age that you needed bifocals?

I understand that for some, it's not worth it to get their vision corrected until 45-60 because then they only have to do it one time, whereas I know I'll need to get reading glasses when my vision starts to fade in 15-20 years. But to me, that's still 15-20 YEARS of potentially having perfect vision! That's nothing to shake a stick at, and I don't see why anyone would recommend you deprive yourself of it as well.

Who knows, though, maybe in a few years the technology will be in a place where you won't be told that anymore.....
