Welcome to the Random Hundreds community. Inspired by all those drabble communities out there (like lotrips100 or hp100), but slightly different, because juleskicks, the creator, has a bit of a crossover obsession.

Basically, the premise is this: every Sunday, one of your mods (the aforementioned juleskicks or the lovely dreamiflame) will assign something for you to write from. It may be two characters from totally different fandoms, it may be a scenario to begin with, it may be anything.

As the name suggests, Random Hundreds was begun as a drabble community, but we won't require you to stick to 100 words. Anything longer is fine and would actually make us happy, but if it's over 200 words, how about a cut tag, just to spare the members' friendslists?

One of the mods will be posting the challenge every Sunday night, and you'll have all week to respond, as many times as you'd like.

As for formatting rules, just use your common sense, huh? If your story has major spoilers for the latest installment in a series of books or movies (and that latest installment isn't available globally -- the LotR movies were released later in Australia than in Europe and the US, for instance -- or hasn't been available for a month -- by now, most HP fans have had a chance to read Order of the Phoenix), or the current season of a show, just note that there are spoilers in the subject, and, if you really think it's an issue, use a cut tag. If there's content that might squick people, again, warn people of this in the subject or before the actual text, or, again, use a cut tag.

Basic rule of thumb -- cut tags are your friends. When in doubt, put it behind a cut tag and warn.

You don't need to introduce yourself with anything other than your writing. Again, this is mainly about saving friendslist space, not because we think you suck.
