ranaloreJust when I thought the MCU kissing meme might have wrapped up, someone actually grabbed one of the prompts I threw out there in the true spirit of, "Eh, what the hell." I mean, I really, really wanted it? I just didn't think anybody would actually do it. I love being proved wrong in this fashion.

In other news, I got notification that if I wanted to play in Yuletide this year or in years to come, it would behoove me to write an NYR story before October 15th. I'm iffy about participating this year, but I'd like to keep my options open, and I do hate that feeling of having the failure of last year hovering over me, so I'll be seeing what I can come up with. I actually feel like 1K might be doable again, given that I'm managing words for my current workshop course without too much sturm und drang. iddyiddybangbang, maybe, though that one doesn't actually have to be good, and since the NYR would actually be for someone, I would at least like it to be...readable. And then, even if I decided never to do Yuletide again, I would have that particular red balanced in my ledger.
Of course, if it were to turn out that I could request the Marvel frog!verse for Yuletide, from whence my icon comes? AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA lemme at that bad boy.

I saw that! I do feel sorely undereducated in terms of their interactions, interviews, back histories, etc., though, which is one reason I went the cracky AU route with the hipster tennis story (the other reason being that extreme silliness is one of my default id settings, and I'm still working on ungumming the writing apparatus). So while I have eyeballed the Evanstan requests and several of them state that AUs are okay, I sort of worry that my brand of AUs might be a little much. I mean, is there a cracky Evanstan AU of your dreams?
ETA:Ugh, I'm sorry, that final question sounds really flippant and rude now that I read it over again, and it's really not meant that way. I'm genuinely curious. Are you a fan of cracky Evanstan AUs, and is there a scenario you haven't seen done that you'd love to see someone tackle? I feel like, if I had a few concrete ideas to try, I might manage something for NYR, but the only specific concept anybody mentioned was the ubiquitous coffee shop, which I confess is not my (heh) cuppa.

All I can come up with are ideas based around actual things they might do together, like filming or photo shoots or publicity tours. I am so sad and pathetic. I don't know, maybe we could take advantage of the Frogverse and turn them into frogs? Ha ha ha ha ha haha. ::goes off to hide in shame::
We should try to put our heads together with kore and see if we can't come up with something for you to get your Yuletide status set!
