About me.
I'm a twenty-year-old wannabe-nerd, from the UK. Currently self-studying Japanese. Studied law, sociology, business, politics and philosophy. I'm interested in most related topics. I'm going to University to study Japanese Studies in September 2011. I'd love to become a translator someday. Currently, I work as an Administrator for a charity to prevent crime and harm. However, my love for academia has not ceased!

Acadamia aside though.. I love playing games, although I'm not a game addict. My game-love is currently with my lime-coloured Nintendo DS Lite. However, I love playing arcade games on the MAME (which I haven't done in ages now though!) as well as watching Dragonball Z, TED Talks, the Twilight Zone, etc. I also love walking, hanging out with friends; the usual stuff really! Oh, and my laptop - running Linux Ubuntu - is my everything.

Here's a list of my good traits and my bad ones, if interested in learning about me rather than purely going by my interests alone. I try to keep very few tags, yet try to maintain them to be as relevant as possible so it's easier for myself - and others - to look through too.

This is a blog in which I use to aid my quest for self-improvement,
as well as for letting out my thoughts and
frustrations - your basic blog I suppose.

I post an entry every day, a habit I purposefully keep.

I love reading people's journals also.
(Don't mind if they don't read or comment on mine in return!)

So new friends are welcome!

I love learning.
The reason I love language study, law, economics and much more is because I love learning about societies. This is ultimately what I'm about as learning about my surroundings is important to me. And by comparing my culture to others, I can learn a lot about it. I also think that by learning about other perspectives or ways of doing things, you can become more self-aware - as it may cause you to question your beliefs and behaviour.

Although subjects such as science and technology are not really where my knowledge lies, I love learning about it. I think it's interesting - despite perhaps not fully understanding things straight away or having a poor memory for equations and such 'cept for the classic E=MC²!
Learning Japanese.
Studying the Japanese language has given me the most joy these days! Currently, I'm trying to engage in more formal study - as I don't do much of that, so my Japanese is not good yet. 私はゆっくり日本語を勉強していますが、前ほど勉強しないので、まだ初心者レベルです。頑張りますね!
