See, that’s what the app is perfect for.

Sounds perfect Wahhhh, I don’t wanna

and what if i say that a lot of the contemporary therapy speak plague in fic is at least in parts directly related to fandom violently decrying any kind of “”“miscommunication”“” as cringe. people lie, misinterpret, and downright twist other’s words, karen. have you ever talked to anyone in person like come on now

*mine mona rambles i'm just saying stuff tbh but yk. it's not that i'm not NOT a little right miscommunication as this catch-all 'this is bad' has always been soooo silly to me like sure yeah there's badly done iterations of it but like. have you ever seen people try to communicate literally anything it's a tragic comedy every single time and that's on people with supposedly therapy experience under their belt now look at those pathetic wet rags of some characters and tell me they wouldn't be having two completely different conversations with each other at like. literally all times

like the betrayal’s always going to be worse if they cared about you and it didn’t matter. someone discards you because they didn’t give a shit, then you can be angry about that, you can feel vindicated in that, you can get over it. but if they can look you in the eyes and say “I love you. I would make the same choice again.” You will never sleep peacefully again, is all.

quietwingsinthesky

“I thought they cared about me, but they were lying this whole time.” <- tired. boring. removes all the nuance of this relationship to make it easier to move on from.

“I thought they cared about me, and I was right, and every minute they were there for me, every time they said they were proud, every laugh we shared leaning against each other bruised and breathless, all of it was real. and they still left me behind. They could put their love aside. I couldn’t.” <- insane. will never leave you alone. reminds you that even the worst people are still people and can still care about even the ones they hurt the most and that undoes neither the harm nor the love.

YEAHHH GOD EXACTLY the good shit

every fleetwood mac documentary i've ever watched is like "the band was at the height of their success, enjoying the fame rolling in from their #1 hit 'i know about the other woman, lindsey'. however, nobody could have sensed the tension brewing between members."

ransomnote

"the group initially disbanded immediately after the release of the single 'well get the fuck out if you're going to be like that', leaving thousands of fans shocked."

fleetwood YELL literally 😭

i actually do think too much emphasis is placed on regret rates in the trans community despite said rates being absurdly low. like even if regret rates were at 90% id still support access to gender affirming care because i think people have the right to do whatever the fuck they want with their own bodies. regret is the price you pay for autonomy man get over it.

fucking literally no one cares about regrets for tattoos/body modification/unhealthy weight loss/insert 39218391 we do to our bodies that have way higher regret rates and yet . yk

Sometimes you log on to tumblr dot com and see your beloved mutuals thirsting over unrisen sourdough men and you have to say a very very quiet ‘pass’ to yourself and let it go because inevitably the flat circle of time will bring around your turn to go gaga over some butterface dude or bug eyed girl and you must know that your beloved mutuals are saying a quiet ‘pass’ to themselves and leaving you to your moment of insanity in peace.

amen to that truly

I hate the push that you can quit addictions by pure willpower because it perpetuates the idea that people who can't have committed a moral failing of some kind. We all may know some people who did quit an addiction cold turkey, and with no aid, you may be one of them. And that's fantastic, but it is not the norm. It is more than okay to need help to quit an addiction. Relapse is also part of the process. Many people relapse several times before they are able to quit for good. Let's have compassion.

#also depending on the substance quitting cold turkey can be dangerousALT

not only that but depending on the substance quitting cold turkey can kill you

ALCOHOL. It’s a very common dependence and cold turkey CAN KILL YOU. A lot of people don’t know this. Doctors can literally prescribe beer in the ER to save a life.

Be careful out there.

anarchistmemedistro

#addiction is a morally neutral thing btw #there's no moral attachment to addiction and if you believe there is you have to unlearn that for the safety of everyoneALT
on addiction as someone who quit several addictions by '''''''willpower'''''''' the thing is it's never really only willpower it's circumstances that changed or development i went through that perhaps someone else at that point in time would've only reached through the help of therapy or social services or or or AND it's a lot of luck. support of the people around you for which you NEED people who genuinely want to support you in the first place and that's all so hard. it's STILL hard then and yeah not even starting on drugs where cold turkey is genuinely dangerous people love to brag it's been willpower but i'm genuinely so convinced that it's truly never only that i've seen people who desperately wanted to stop using and simply couldn't and others who had good enough situations that they could even though they weren't even that desperate it truly has absolute jackshit to do with that and ofc the severity of the addiction and the drug has SO much to do with it too but anyway
