I'm a *mumble*-year old, mother of 1, with a hubby who loves me dearly but can't understand why I LJ. I first got into LJ by way of fanfiction, which I still enjoy but have limited time to read now.
I may not post a lot, but I do read my what my friends have to say. Much of the time after work, I don't have the brain power left to create a response although I do like to know what is happening.
In RL, I currently teach 8th grade history to inner-city students. I love what I do, although I tend to vent about it here.
Also in RL, my 1 is no longer a baby and is preparing to go to college. You'll definitely hear me talk about the teenager and the insanity that she creates for me.
I've completed my BA in history and my MS in education. I plan on pursuing an EdD in Curriculum and Instruction in the near future. I'm wanting to focus on Social Studies in my EdD, but it will depend on where I am as to whether I can do that or not. If I stay where I am now, I'll have to work on a reading degree, putting a Social Studies twist on the research.
