I need physical help for all self care and showering, I use adaptive cutlery or else I can’t feed myself, I’m also both bladder and bowel incontinent and will be wearing adult pull ups soon.

No I’m not babyish or gross for needing physical help, I have ataxia spastic triplegia and left sided weakness, this makes fine motor skills very difficult and also makes it so my bladder and bowel muscles are weakened.

If you also have higher needs just know you aren’t alone🫂

They should invent a cry for help that has zero negative effects on anybody and also that makes everyone treat you like a little animal in a cardboard box. But everyone’s cool with it because you’re a cute little animal and not an adult human that needs to get their shit together to stay alive

Sometimes on the internet people will throw an abbreviation at you as if you’re supposed to know what it means and you’ll try to find out what it means but no matter what you do on any search engine all that comes up is some kind of dental supplies logistics company in Malaysia or something

Humans can do incredible things under threat. That does not mean that panic is a good thing for you or your body in the long run.

I get why our current general societal thing is to say it doesn't matter which undiagnosed mental illnesses you had when you behaved badly because you should still be accountable for your own actions & I actually agree with that in many ways. however I think some people have gotten overly fatalistic about how much simply knowing what your own deal is can transform your life basically overnight if you actually hold yourself to treating your own mental health properly. like I do not think figuring out I had OCD solved all my problems but it explained 90% of the most fraught online social experiences I have had cyclically throughout my adult life and once I got treatment for it I never had that specific issue ever again. sometimes it IS that easy.

like yea you shouldn't expect anything out of being a nice person, you should be nice because its a good thing to do, but i can't emphasis enough just how many perks you get by not being an asshole.

I’m more than a little concerned at seeing recommended tumblr communities with names like “queer teens” or “nonbinary teens” and advertising themselves as a space for teenagers as young as 13 to make friends with each other. I don’t wanna sound like anyone’s dad here, but this is… not safe. Anyone can join those communities, they’re not private unless you make it private. You can’t trust that everyone in there is actually a teenager, so please don’t advertise your age or other people’s ages like that in online spaces. You can absolutely make private communities or discord servers with trusted friends, but not public communities that anyone can join, especially if those communities are specifically targeted at marginalised— and therefore vulnerable— teenagers.

if you see criticism of racism within your community as criticism of the community as a whole then you have a racist community. sorry.
