I made this baby blanket for my sister-in-law - I had to put a rush on it, and I did it in 3 1/2 weeks. It was quite the under-taking! But I managed to pull it off and have it completed for the baby shower (yesterday) :)

Second section of cabinets have been painted! w00t! Dan isn't done with the doors and drawer faces yet, but I just put the second coat on the frames. And we bought the hardware last night. Progress! :)

Wow. So, I didn't make a single post in 2010. Guess I was busy? Ha! Understatement of the year. I'm always busy with projects and cleaning and projects and 100 million other things. I guess I've just gotten distracted from the whole posting thing. Maybe I should make that my NYR...be more posty. What do ya think?
I just spent over an 1 1/2 going through themes. I settled on this one. Eh. More for the layout style than anything else. Most of the ones I liked, I could barely read the content. :( We'll see how long this one lasts. ;)
I think I'm going to see if I can find any crafty communities that seem fun. There's always room for more projects!
another Halloween has come and gone. Much preparation and fun to be had...and now it's all over. :( That makes me sad. oh well, time to start planning for the NEFE convention this month! w00t!
posted what pictures I have - I missed a lot, I'm hoping amezri got the ones I missed (I'm sure she did!)
Put up new splash pages and banners on the site, added a striped background. Meant to do it before Halloween, but of course I've been busy with Halloween and never did it. Also meant to post more pictures of the costume...perhaps later today. Too much to do, not enough time to do it in!
Mrs. Lovett has finally been officially started! I've got my knickers done and I started working on the skirt. I have no pattern at all, so things are going slowly, but I think they're working fairly well so far...I have the bottom ruffle sewn on, but haven't put the back ruffles or trim on yet.
After I get it put together, I plan on dying it (sheets - they will dye, yay!) to make it look grungy and moldy like Mrs. L's
Updated all of the broken links caused by the url change to my site (finally) - fixed mood theme and picture links; updated graphics page with new sprites and link to gallery with all old iconses.
off to Joann's to look for Mrs. Lovett costume fabrics - hopefully
It has finally happened - I have finally gotten my web page back into order. A few other changes have happened as well - the site is no longer called "Purple Majestic". After making some changes to try to split up the pages into specific "sites" for costuming and graphics, I decided to go back to one "site", and keep the name "Veil of Dreams" (the costuming site) and go from there. Mostly this was decided because the site is no longer devoted to graphics, but more about costuming and crafting. Graphics are still here, though the section is a lot smaller.
The banners and splash pages rotate on refresh and are currently "fairy tales" represented by actors and actresses. The idea is to keep adding new banners and splash pages whenever and for the style to be completely random (rather like the style of my coppermine gallery).
I've also embedded my LJ into the site to use as an update blog for the site - so hey, posting!
So, enjoy - and I'd love to hear what you think about the site!
