I feel obligated to make this post, as a trans woman, and as someone who has seen harassment campaigns against other trans women on this site during the entirety of my tenure on this site.
Love the trans women you know. If you’re close to them have other means of communication. Cherish the people you know before they’re ripped away from you. This is horrifying and heartbreaking, and there’s no way of telling who is going to get the hammer next, or how this is going to play out.

it can suck beans when you're doing a project that is creative in nature but requires technical and analytical work that is anathema to your brain and soul. I have passion and a juicy ass, why must I remember these numbers and adjust them to match some other numbers? Why isn't my work pure creative?

Yesterday I overheard a trans woman saying to another "the fourth law of robotics is that the robot has to be gay and trans" and a cis guy nearby going "oh what? I only know the first three" and her repeating "yeah it says the robot has to be gay and trans. Asimov wrote that" and him earnestly saying "whoa I didn't know that!"
"It's one of the fair folk! I've heard that if they take a liking to you, they'll spirit you away to a world of plenty where you will live as a pampered pet in comfort and safety all your life! Human! HUMAN! LOOK AT MY BABIES! LOOK HOW CUTE MY BABIES ARE! DON'T YOU WANT TO FAIRY-NAP THEM?? HUMAN!!!"
