Who is your favorite lady detective from movies, books, or TV?
JANE FUCKING MARPLE. I always watch her mysteries with my parents and she rocks. She acts like she's just a sweet old lady and all of a sudden bang, she just solved ten fucking murders.

Writer's Block: What is your name?
I already changed my name. My birth name was Katie but it didn't fit me so I chose Sura because it did. Now that I'm writing again I need a new pen name but I can't think of one. Hm.
Also, speaking of names, I named my main character for this new thing I'm writing and finally Googled the name today. Turns out she's an actress. I really, really wanted to name her Erika Toda but now I can't.

Writer's Block: Close Encounters of the Celebrity Kind
Have you ever met a celebrity in real life? Who was it and how did your paths cross?
Lois Lowry, author of The Giver. She had a lot of influence on me as a writer so it was really awesome to meet her. I told her I was a writer too. She signed something of mine but I don't remember what it was. :(
Also, every day I drive by Trent Reznor's hometown on my way to work. Now I know why he's so angry.
