You can still register for the conference until the 16th June.
Abstract Deadlines Extended to 21st May
Are you thinking of submitting an abstract, but haven’t had time to put it together yet? Good news – we have extended the abstract deadline for both papers and posters to 21st May, meaning that there is a little extra time if you are thinking of submitting something for PZAF 2014. All registration forms can be found on the website.
Please get in touch if you have any questions you would like to ask the PZAF team anything about the event arrangements. We look forward to seeing you all in June.
Proceedings of PZAF2012
The proceedings of the last incarnation Postgraduate Zooarchaeology Forum, in Sheffield 2012, have just been published open access in the latest issue of Assemblage. It’s an interesting set of papers on a broad range of topics, a legacy we’ll be aspiring to match at PZAF2014!
We’re planning to the proceedings of PZAF2014 in a special issue of the Institute’s postgraduate journal, Papers from the Institute of Archaeology.
Travel bursaries available
Thanks to a generous grant from UCL JFIGS, we’re now able to offer a number of bursaries for travel to PZAF from within the UK. See the registration page for details.
JFIGS
We’ve been awarded a generous grant from the UCL Joint Faculty Institute of Graduate Studies to support PZAF2014. Thanks JFIGS!
Call for papers
PZAF2014 Call for papers (pdf)
The fourth Postgraduate Zooarchaeology Forum (PZAF2014) will be held at the UCL Institute of Archaeology on Friday 20th–Saturday 21st June 2014. We are now accepting submissions for paper and poster presentations on postgraduate research in zooarchaeology. Submissions are welcome from any period or region and at any stage of research. PZAF2014 is an informal and supportive forum ideal for discussing postgraduate work with peers and rehearsing presentations in anticipation of larger conferences such as ICAZ. We anticipate that proceedings of the conference will be published in a special issue of Papers from the Institute of Archaeology.
For more information on PZAF 2014, see our home page. Paper or poster abstracts may be attached to the conference registration form or submitted directly by email to pzaf2014@gmail.com. For queries, contact Liz Farebrother (elizabeth.farebrother.13@ucl.ac.uk) or Mariana Nabais (mariana.nabais.09@ucl.ac.uk).
