I was playing Pokemon Go in the park yesterday and I saw a guy sit down beside a girl and start talking to her and immediately I got this feeling that something was Very Wrong. I really don't believe in sixth senses or anything like that but my gut didn't like it. I got up and started walking in their direction.

The guy kept getting closer to her while she kept trying to turn her body away, so I made eye contact with her for a minute so she'd know I was there and then I rushed in with a OH MY GOD GIRL ITS SOOO GOOD TO SEE YOU WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN? WE NEED TO GO GET COFFEE RIGHT FUCKING NOW!!! at full USAmerican volume (which Irish people tend to react to like I've fired off a concussive blast so it's good for disorienting creepers). I hugged her (which makes me laugh in retrospect bc I don't really hug anyone, let alone strangers) but it turned out to be a good move because I could put myself between him and turn her towards the coffee shop.

As we were walking away she was like "omg thank you, you have such good instincts" and I was like "did you know him?" because he was like, trying to get her to touch his arm? And she was like "no!"

Anyway my favorite part of the whole bit is that as we're walking away, the creep yells after us that we're heartless.
