I'm pretty sure I haven't posted these icons before, but they've been sitting in my icons folder for so long, I can't be positive. But not to worry, I have another post in the works just in case you've seen these before x_x
So I know it's been more than two months since this community last saw a post. I can't speak for the other makers, but I wanted to explain why I, personally have been gone so long. Ultimately, it all comes down to Photobucket, which I had been using for years without issue to host my images. Then, several months ago, they changed their layout and got rid of infinite scrolling in the process. Now, if you have more than 1,200 images uploaded, and you don't always use them in the order they were uploaded, manually clicking though fifty-plus pages is incredibly inefficient, tedious, and time consuming. I tried other sites like imgur for a while, but apparently imgur will eventually delete my pictures. So I stopped. Without somewhere to host my images, I had no motivation to make new ones.
And then I had an idea: LiveJournal! Even with over 1000 images uploaded to Photobucket, I was supposedly still using a grand total of 0% of my 2G storage limit. My plus account here on LJ comes with 1G of Scrapbook storage, and a paid account will give me 2G if I ever need it, so space doesn't look like an issue.. If I upload icons in batches instead of all at once, I shouldn't run into any problems with organization, either.
So I hope you'll forgive me my absence. Please accept this super-large batch to make up for it which I feel, by no design of my own, speaks to the ending of summer and the beginning of colder, darker weather. I hope you've been well and I miss you all very much <3

Soooo Photobucket's new changes have made it extremely difficult for me to use it as a host for my icons. One of the things that it's taken away is the ability to view all my images at once, and that doesn't work for me. So to avoid having to dig through all those pages more than once, I've been doing some image dumping. There's a huge post over at my personal journal, in addition to this. Here is a gold-themed post that I've been saving up for you for a long time, along with some reds and oranges that I apparently thought tied into the gold theme at some point... I've also included three book-fandom icons at the bottom: two from Garth Nix's Abhorsen series, and one of Jon Snow from Game of Thrones.
This is a yay-spring-is-coming post. It's not very inspired, but I am excited about spring. I am also deliriously tired and therefore not good at making icons sound exciting (or making sense). Sue me :P

We're having so much rain around these parts lately, it's getting me into an autumn state of mind. Cool weather. Changing leaves. Coziness in warm blankets. Hot chocolate. Halloween. So I made you all a little batch of icons that reminds me of changing seasons.

I have really been wanting to do a theme batch for a while, but I never seem to have enough icons of one theme laying around... But today the weather is just so dreary that it inspired me to make a black-and-white themed batch! Okay okay, I know that's not much of a theme. And it's hardly uplifting. But I love black-and-white (or nearly, as is the case with some of these icons) images. Done right, there's just something so special about them. I wanted to put together a batch that reflects the sort of dual nature of dreariness. In my mind, there's a story in these icons. It reminds me of someone trapped in a dark place, discovering the strong, brave warrior within herself, and walking out into the light.
I know, that's way too deep for a batch of icons, right? Oh well. Hope you enjoy! :P
A Word of caution: One icon towards the bottom may be considered NSFW (it shows an abstract-ish drawing of a nude woman).
Hey puka_pudgers! I'm currently taking an Ethnic Minority Psychology class, and we've been dealing with alot of different perspectives and issues. So this batch was inspired by the class and thoughts on my mind lately. Hope you guys like it. It's something a little different.
