We're baaaaaaaack.....!
Well, after our summer hiatus, the Prometheus Radio Theatre Podcast is now back in action.
In an effort to keep all of us a little more sane this season (especially Steve/
cnvarbiter...), we are going to be a bit more laid-back with our release schedule. So we may not have a new offering every Friday of every week, but we do have a lot lined up for our new season.
Also, the final chapter of my reading of Star Surgeon is now up at podiobooks. I hope you'll check it out if you haven't already. Also at podiobooks is
cnvarbiter's Taken Liberty and his reading of Badge of Infamy.
As always, we hope to hear from you...!

(no subject)
Usually I only do a post every 2 or so months, but I thought it would be good to make this announcement. Prometheus Radio Theatre is one of the finalists for a 2007 Parsec Award for Best Audio Drama (Long Form including Independents)! Some folks who work with Prometheus Radio Theatre will be at Dragon*Con for other reasons and will likely send word shortly after the envelope is opened. Regardless, we are very pleased to be included in the group of final nominees.
Another Outlet
Prometheus is getting a myspace page going. If you're on myspace, please consider giving us an add or comment there... Thanks!

June News
Greetings Prometheus fans on LJ! There's a couple of announcements I wanted to make...
More Arbiter Chronicles are showing up in our weekly podcast with the episode "Divergence" now having the first part made available this morning. It's only natural that the more one does something the better they get, and to my ear (although I am biased, of course) I think that shows in this newest offering. I think we are continuing to just plain get better at this whole audio thing, and I hope I'm not alone.
Also, I personally just recently completed an unabridged reading of Star Surgeon by Alan E. Nourse which was just cataloged on LibriVox. You can download it and listen for free, even:
http://librivox.org/star-surgeon-b…
Also look for Steve's (
cnvarbiter's) reading of Badge of Infamy on LibriVox, and his reading of Taken Liberty on podiobooks.com, should the whim strike you.
Thanks for listening, and as always we'd love to hear from folks....

Prometheus to Perform at Balticon
Prometheus Radio Theatre is scheduled to perform at Balticon 41 (Yes, that's a 41... it speaks more about the "venerable" status of this convention than anything I can say...) on Sunday, May 27th, at approximately 6:00pm. For this performance, Prometheus takes on a Southern railway ghost story called Night Train Through Maco, written by Steven H. Wilson (
cnvarbiter). Come and have a listen!
Also, Prometheus' recent podcast offering of the first half of a public domain Edgar Rice Burroughs story from Jungle Tales of Tarzan, read by Steve, has gotten a notable wave of new listeners, which we are very pleased about. If any newbies are out there, we'd love to hear from you either here or on the Prometheus blog page on Libsyn.

Farpoint This Weekend
Prometheus Radio Theatre will be performing at the Farpoint science fiction convention this Friday evening. We shall be doing a Star Trek Original Series script called "Living in the Shadows" which chronicles Captain Sulu's last mission on the Excelsior. (I have the totally intimidating task of providing the voice for Captain Sulu....) For this performance we are pleased to announce that we will be joined by Richard Hatch from Battlestar Gallactica and Suzie Plakson from ST:TnG and Enterprise. So those in the Baltimore Area (or even close by) may wish to come on out. Other major guests at the con include Ron Glass from Firefly & Serenity and Harve Bennett. Provided the appropriate permissions are obtained, we are planning to podcast this performance in the near future on our regular weekly podcast show.
PRT has also helped put together a brand new Fan Media Track for Farpoint this year. Here's a sample of folks who will be attending:
Jared Axelrod - The Voice of Free Planet X
J.R. Blackwell - 365 Tomorrows

Podcasting Landmark
We're very pleased to announce that we just broke 100,000 downloads of Prometheus podcasts! Older archived podcasts are still having consistent numbers for downloads, so we're also pleased that a good chunk of new listeners are going back and checking out previous shows.
As always, we'd love to hear some comments!
