True to Form

Two years since I've posted in here, the name I chose for this journal certainly suits me well. I've been meaning to, but, but, but... yup that's the way things get put off. There were of course many exciting things happening in the real world and I must admit I never thought about my LJ. Funny how things come back around... just like my friendly neighborhood turtle here...slow and steady.

Summer Came Quick

But I'm moving as slowly as ever. I blame it on the heat. The sun has a way of sucking the life right out of you.

Hot in the Summer

Before and After - Winter and Summer. Freezing then and sweltering now. That lawn sure could use some H2O.

People are like seasons too, in that we experience cycles. Our changes aren't as predictable of course. They come from our choices, our decisions... and ultimately the compromises we must make.

We give things up to gain others, we hope the trade works out for the best. Overall happiness tells the tale. And keeping everything in perspective is key.

Yep, summer is back, and it'll be gone before we know it. Is there change in store for you?

Writer's Block: Compare and contrast

What ten words would you use to describe yourself? If your friends were asked to describe you, how closely would all the lists match up?

The 10 words I would use to describe myself are: Silly, Thoughtful, Creative, Friendly, Caring, Modest, Loyal, Inquisitive, Lazy and Stubborn. Although I'm sure most of my friends would agree with these, there's probably room for a few more negative descriptors as well! But it's my list so :p

Clean-up after Snowmaggeddon

The snowstorm has finally past, just had to clean up the mess it left. All in all, it wasn't actually too bad... well, I've seen worse! Here's some pics taken from my phone:

This is (was!) my backyard picnic table... the snow on top shows about the amount of inches we received!

I hope that is the end of the snow from 2010! I'll keep my fingers crossed...

Snowmaggedon Continues

Figured I'd get out there and do some shoveling before it gets too deep. We're supposed to get a lot more when this storm turns into a full-on blizzard later this afternoon. Yikes! Here's a few pics of the snow so far:

Enough with the snow already!!

I think I've had enough of winter for the year. We just got finished digging out of the last snow storm and we're about to get another foot or more dumped on us. Why oh why didn't I fix the snowblower when I had the chance. Ugh.
