Poor Toots...

So my Blackberry Bold his these metal things in between the keys.  It normally looks like this:

But mine started being weird, when wehn I typed I ended up w/ a crack in one.  Then it happened in two more places.  Well the next thing I know a piece falls off:

Then I look down today and another piece was gone:

When the first piece fell off tuesday, I went to the T-Mobile store, just to see if it would be covered under warranty.  Nope.  The guy in the store even told the folks on the phone that it looked to him like a manufacturing defect, still no-go.  I could do a "warranty" exchange and get a new phone for $100 or go through insurance for $130.  for a cosmetic thing? No thanks.  So I decided that I am going to take the plunge and attempt to change my housing.  lot's of people do it.  There are tutorials, videos, step by step instructions.  I bought the housing online from www.sw-box.com.  I'll update later with the results once it gets in.  Wish me luck!

The housing:

I chose the white just for a change, plus it will look SUPER awesome w/ the new case I ordered.

RIP Kermit

I just killed a frog.  Didn't mean to.  I was taking Carlton out to potty since he's whining so much.  He probably just wants to get out of the laundry room to play with the new addition (Kitty Purrrcy, official intro to come later) but I took him out anyway because they did have quite a bit of water earlier.  So I go out and slam the door as usual behind me... except it didn't really slam.  I didn't know why so I try again.  Still nothing.  Look down and there it is, dead frog, wedged in between the door and the frame, blood and guts out.  Sorry dude.

Do you find it very hard to open up to people? Why or why not? What are the benefits and disadvantages of being emotionally guarded?

It depends on the situation, the people etc.  I may open up about different areas of life with one person easier than I would with a different person.  I'm glad I am that way though. I'd rather be guarded and figure out if someone is worth opening myself up too.  being too open leaves you too vulnerable.  It's a protective mechanism for me.
