Pregnancy Journals

Hi, I'm new to the community. This might seem a bit unorthodox but I am a photographer who is currently creating a body of photographs on the topic of miscarriages as a way to educate people on their prevalence and the types of experiences that women have because of them (though I am also interested in hearing from partners too).

I've started my Pregnancy Journal a little late. I'm 28 weeks pregnant with my sixth child. I'm having my fourth UP, and this will be my first UC. The journal is being setup as letters to the baby. There will be other things in journal of course, such as Birth Story, first year, and other such things involving all the kids. Some things will be friends only, some completely private, most will be open to everyone.

I am a student at Boston University working on a school project (undergrad). We have a developed a new product for babies and we desperately need your help. I dont update LJ with things too much anymore, but I joined anyway because I have started a 30 - 40 week pregnancy journal that I can share pics of, where I write:

appointments
special occassions
things I did that week
interesting world events
how I felt about being pregnant that week
notes about special things I did
things I learnt in maternity class
baby gifts we have received

Does anyone do this? we should share journal prompts

For those that are keeping journals what do you write about? have you been taking belly pictures? and will you continue the journal after baby is born?

Hi, I'm using my journal for my book-in-progress, a guide to surprise pregnancy for women. Other books talk about pregnancy in glowing and euphemistic terms, I'm going to tell you about the weird shit that goes down. Most books assume you tried for this baby and are singing about rainbows and sunshine when you find out. I'm talking about the challenges, decisions, and emotions that come with a surprise pregnancy as you are navigating a career and an adult life.

I myself have had 2 surprise pregnancies, and made two wildly different decisions about them. I was enormously frustrated to find all the books on the market either assumed I was expecting this baby and was thrilled at the prospect, or was 15 years old and got knocked up in the back of a Chevy. Nothing out there dealt with being an adult woman with an established career and no plans for a kid at the time. In talking with other women, I found I wasn't alone, just not talked about.

Please come and read my stuff. It going to be updated at least once a week. I'd love to hear feedback, your own stories,suggestions, whatever!
