Prayer for India

Does anyone know about the ministry of Rev. Edith Greet in Southern India? She is part of my denomination, the International Pentecostal Church of Christ.

PRAYER REQUESTS:

1. For a family I saw at Meijers. It was like a mom and five children. She was rather overwhelmed and one of the children was telling her how he hated her. She said, "That is fine," but I could tell it really pinched a nerve. Pray that God gives her strength, hope, and is present in her family.

2. For my mental diagnosis-- Bipolar. God has been instrumental in bringing peace to my heart and rescuing me from the clutches of satan as I was bound for years spiritually through Manic-Depression. Now, it's lessening, God is speaking volumes into my life, and I've reduced my drug intake considerably, but I'm asking you to pray for my full recovery. By the Name of Jesus.

PRAISE REPORT:


Praise the Lord that there was this series on MTV today called, "The Life and Times of...." It featured today the rapper, Kayne West, and he got up there and boldly proclaimed the name of Jesus and sang a song to his mom about how great she is! It was so unexpected to see a bright light on MTV. I want to buy his album because he took his fame and spoke as clear as a sermon on MTV where millions could view him speaking on a Saturday!

God has changed my life...

Hi crew, how goes it? I started this community and a little bit of cynicism is fine by me. Talking is not a bad thing. It allows us to express what's on our subconscious. Too often we pretend and don't reveal this.

For the record, my new roommate is atheist and there are only a few Christians in my new Co-Op. I love missions too.

And I'm often hypocritical right now. You haven't seen me post much in this community lately, it's because I know I need to get myself following God better before I go and talk about missions. I need to focus on just being a Christian right where I am in my circle of influence.

There's a lot of darkness around me and I'm getting swept up in it a lot. I'll take prayer on that.

I still go to Indian International Church and last night I was hanging with some Middle Eastern college students to try to sing their music-- it sounded similar to Hindi.

I want you to start teaching me basic sentences and phrases in Hindi based on how it and then how it's spelled!

Muche Tume Perehe. (that would be "I love you" in Hindi, Am I right?)

I am here to play the devils advocate to the more obnoxiously Christian pepole here. If i see a post that containc illogic or circular logic I will not hesiate to attack it. All in all. I am the kind of person that this uber christian community hates being an ex-pagan who became an athiest/agnostic.

I keep looking through Bollywood and other India LJ communities, and I keep coming across your banner.

Now, I'm a little curious, and I was wondering if you could tell me what exactly you're planning in this community, because, as far as I can tell, you're a bunch of missionaries, hoping to convert a billion stong populace that already has very strong and established religions: Hindu, Islam, Buddhism and others, including a very, very small population of Christian Indians.

Now, I understand neither the mission statement, nor the point, and while I'm tempted to attack this comunity as being a bunch of Christians out to make everyone the same under the guise of understanding culture, I'm instead asking you to explain yourself in clear English.

What are you planning here? And why?
