(no subject)

I've read a lot of past debates here.

About halfway through, this video shows footage of the secretary of the Canadian Fox breeder's Association using electricity to dispatch a fox. His name is John Yurrick. As bad as PeTA is, there is no denying that that is him in the instructional video.

There is no denying who he is or that he's instructing people how to attach strong electrodes to the ear and genital area of the animal in order to kill it.

I'm wondering why, when it's so obvious that this does take place as it's been published in several fur breeding manuals, it would be denied that farmers use this rather cruel method.

I will ask why, in the most polite way I can summon, why is this worth clothes?

Newbie

I'm a new member here, and like the rest of you, I LOVE FUR! Sometime in the near future (when i finally learn to sew and work with leather/fur) I want to make fur coats, handbags, etc. But thats in the future, for now, I will just oogle at the lux furs paraded down the catwalks.

Question: What do you all think of the new vogue for Astrakhan/Karakul/Persian Lamb?

Ciao!

FEARLESS IN FUR

ELLE Macpherson (above) is telling pals PETA lied when the animal-rights freaks said she wanted to get out of her Blackglama mink contract. The supermodel proudly supported the fur line last night at Double Seven on West 14th Street and said she never told her lawyers to pull her ads from magazines. Meanwhile, Elle, who split from Arky Busson last summer, has a hot new younger man. The 41-year-old stunner has been scoring with Arsenal soccer star Sol Campbell, 31, reports London's Sunday Mirror.

lost another one...maybe

So I just learned that Martha Stewart recently has found a change of heart and has renounced fur. Personally, I think she is full of it and still has her coats in the closet.

She says she used to wear real fur all the time but changed her view of it after seeing the manner in which fur is obtained and worked into wearable luxury pieces.

Whatever.
