Reddit r/fantasy bingo is a yearly challenge that begins in April. The folks who run it come up with 25 different challenges for people to meet, and include a Hard Mode option as well, just to optionally make each challenge more difficult. It's been going on for several years now, but this is the first year I've participated.

I read a lot of books for this that I probably wouldn't have read otherwise, so I'd call it a success! For this, my first year doing it, I decided to do Hard Mode, which was hard as advertised, and also gave myself a secondary challenge of reading only female authors. r/fantasy is a pretty male-centric place, like most of reddit, and I see the same stuff recommended there over and over again, all written by dudes. (Not all of it is bad but like how many times is someone going to say they like Brandon Sanderson and need new recs, just read some old posts, folks...) I tend to read 75-80% female authors anyway but finding books to fit hard mode specifics was harder than I expected.

I have mini-reviews for each book just so I can say I did that too haha. Some, but not all of these I have posted previously.

The beginning of spooky season! Tish and I have a bunch of Halloween decorations to put up and I'm so excited to be able to do that on our own house! We're going to have a Halloween party too at the end of the month so it has to look good.
