Thought I'd make an actual entry about this, just in case Angelica's word of mouth doesn't make it to everyone.

Anyway, Carly is coming down to visit her parents in Naples during winter break. We are having a party of some sort. I'm trying to plan a get together at my house some time during college students winter break, since those still in high school can attend pretty much any school weekend. So, if everyone would let me know when the are unavailable, I would greatly appreciate it. :)

I don't know if this will be a slumber party. I'm not sure how thrilled my parents would be to have a bunch of people staying the night, but I shall see what I can do. I do have a pool, with a heater, so pack something to swim in. I have a living room with a TV, and a family room in which I can set a TV up in. We're all going to have to chip in for drinks and food.

Everyone in the posse is invited. However, I do live in Bradenton. So you all will have to figure out car pools and stuff on your own. This may sound rude and ellitist, but I think that it would be best to say no one under 17 should come. I don't mind a few of the younger kids, but I don't want to be overrun by a gang of high schoolers. That may sound mean and unfair, and I'm sorry. But this is a party for Carly and so that she can see her old friends again. I don't want to lose focus of what I'm doing this for.

For the new ones, hello, I'm Lindsey. (Although I go by Pez.)

Starting in around January or February, depending on how things go, there's a good chance I'll be transferring up to UF from UCF. I was wondering if I could get an idea of who in our group is either a) attending UF or b) at least living in the Gainesville area. I'll be moving into a house with four of my friends, three of which already live up there (sadly, I don't believe any of you cats know them; they're nice, though :D). Still, wanted to see which people I haven't seen in a good year or so I can harass. XD

I know I haven't been around much, it's been a shockingly stressful year, educationally and medically. u.u; I've gotten to see very few of you, although I did appreciate it when Amanda stopped by (although that visit probably sucked u.u; was stressed by the oncoming visits and was a bad hostess, I apologize). Also silly Shinji's actually stopping by in an hour or so, so that'd be cool. XD

What are some of your guys' Thanksgiving/Christmas plans? ^_^

I won't be in town (Sarasota) for the first half of Winter Break, for I'm going to Indiana to visit my family up there. Leaving the 11th, I'll be back around the 21st, spending Christmas at home, and then I'll have free time to visit the friends I miss so dearly. I'm hoping all you out-of-staters (::coughs:: Colin! ::coughs:: Jacob! ::coughs:: et al!) will be coming back for a Floridian fiesta. XD Anyway, here's to the thought that we should possibly make some get-together plans or something, but I wanted to see what everyone else thought.

I just got hired at the new Livingston's location, which will be openning in a couple of weeks. So if you guys wanted to plan anything there, you've got the hook-up. XD Also, anyone who goes to Livingston's, make sure to say hi.

As of a few minutes ago, Anime Club is go for this year. Same time, same place, same sponsor -- Friday 7th period in Mrs. Munoz's room. Sorry that this doesn't apply to most of you who subscribe to posse_gumi (since most of you have fled off to college at this point), but this is the most convenient way of getting the word out. And, besides, even if you don't attend the club, your input is appreciated.

Changmin and I have been discussing possiblities for what to show. Suggestions are welcomed! So far we're considering Bleach, Genshiken, Jungle wa Itsumo Hale Nochi Guu, Mai-Hime, Technolyze, Niea_7, 2x2 Shinobuden, Matantei Loki Ragnarok... in accordance with the wishes of the previous presidents (<3) we will not be showing anything that has been licensed for American TV (we may make exceptions for old shows, or shows that were terribly dubbed, but that will be handled on a case-by-case basis). We will also not show anything inappropriate as far as language, sex, violence, or overall theme. The best formula for a show is action-based, fast-moving, fairly short with plenty of comedic relief but perhaps a more significant message. FMA and Naruto were very popular last year but I'd like to aim for several shorter series rather than two large ones, if we can. More serious, slow-moving shows may be good, but they're probably not the best thing to show in a group.

We'll be showing the anime off of Changmin's laptop, which is outfitted with all the necessary codecs and has a dvd-rom drive. If you have an anime which you'd like to preview for the club tomorrow, feel free to burn the episodes to a dvd and bring it in.
We're aiming for convenience and efficiency, so if we wind up downloading a new series, we'll try to have everyone with a fast internet connection, a dvd burner, and bittorrent chip in.

If you have suggestions for a show, please comment here tonight so that we can talk about them tomorrow! Changmin and I will bring in a few first episodes from various series.

I'll try to make an appointment with Mrs. Goffard to talk about pictures in the yearbook. I'll let you know in advance.

My mom just bought a condo in Gville (4 bedrooms... I forget the specs).

She needs two (2) people to move in by January.

$450 a month for cable TV, internet, washer and dryer, everything, everything. This place is the first stop on the campus bus (free with your UF ID thing), and has a pool and weight room. It's a good deal, really.

If you have a dorm now, you can just not reapply for spring and move in in January (when my mom mentioned it, she asked who we knew that went to UF that lived in a dorm).
