pomo muppet stuff

"DR SATAN! DR SATAN!" I have a feeling Rob Zombie would love this. I know his movies aren't everyone's cup of tea (and I know this because I once had a conversation with a woman in a queue in a gift shop about how she regretted going to see 'House...' with her teenage son. True) but there's something wonderfully layered and onion-like about Mr Zombie making movies that simultaneously satirise and out-gross trashy horror flicks and then some twisted visionary sticking the Muppets in there.

I wasn't sure about this initially: tainting the sanctity of Holy Muppetry with the tawdry bum-numbingness that is LotR. Stick with it, it's worth it, if only for the final blast!
