I enjoy reading interesting things (especially C.S. Lewis), playing Minecraft, working on FOSS, Mobile Linux, and messing around on my homeserver when I have time.
Enthusiast for all things Linux! Currently daily driving stock Android (CAT S22 Flip), and Fedora Workstation (PC/Laptop). Also does minecraft server hosting for my friends, on a Fedora Server homelab. Python developer; Discord bots with Nextcord, dabbling in GTK apps + flatpak.
Nerd for public transit! I love trains, busses, anything thats not a car or a plane. I love density, Strong Towns, and Jane Jacobs' book The Death and Life of Great American Cities.

I thought I'd let people know about my Minecraft server, which has just switched from invite-only to public with applications.
Please read the full Krafter's Realm listing on Modrinth.
It's crossplay and has viaversion/backwards, so whatever version of minecraft you frequent you can join! (A modpack is listed on modrinth because we'd love if you used proximity chat, but it's not required)
Feel free to reply here if you have any questions, I've been playing on this server for a long time with mostly close friends, and I'm excited to let some new people in.

fun fact: you can use ublock origin's eyedropper tool to remove the AI buttons from your favorite websites!
i set my answering machine to me saying, as close to the automated voice as i can:

this is a long shot: but has anyone here worked with ESC/POS thermal receipt printers on linux before?
I found a cheap usb thermal printer on amazon and would love to fiddle around with it, but idk how likely it is that ”Portable Mini Thermal Printer 2 inch Wireless USB Receipt Bill Ticket Printer with 58mm Print Paper Compatible with iOS Android Windows for Restaurant Sales Retail" uses standard ESC/POS commands and would work with something like python-escpos.
any thoughts?
