Lock-down...

As with so many adult-oriented blogs that have come before, my lowly musings have also fallen prey to 'lock-down.' The vast majority of my posts will now be viewable only by friends. My reasoning for the change in privacy status is so that I might post more often and more freely. If you're stopping by and you have an interest in poly-lifestyle and politics, submission and domination, or just plain old relationships, you might consider commenting to this post and telling me some about yourself. You may like reading my blog, and sharing yours, if we have a few mutual interests and / or a willingness to learn about other peoples' perspectives. I am more likely to add parties that I am familiar with through mutual online friends. Unless we are otherwise acquainted, I am very unlikely to 'friend' any parties who do not first introduce themselves. Blessings.

03-03-09 EDIT: I am rather busy in my life for a time, and therefore have less time for blog reading and writing. At this juncture, I am most likely to 'friend' newer parties if they have an association with people that I blog with currently.

Retraction...

While my Friend's List is still quite small when compared to most LJ folks, I find that I've not been paying proper attention to all of the wonderful bloggers on it. My log-ins are increasingly infrequent occasions and I have noticed that I don't reply as much as I prefer to on some peoples' posts. I've decided to undergo a small retraction to my Friend's List. If I don't know you or your loved ones in real time, or I haven't replied to many of your writings (or vise versa) of late, I may have removed you from my online readings. If I ever 'friended' you, I definitely really liked your blog and your interests, so this is definitely not a statement of dislike or a lack of appreciation! I just find that spreading oneself too thinly detracts from the very real pleasure of taking a quiet moment to peruse the thoughts of virtual kindred spirits. I dislike feeling behind constantly on my readings. Thank you very much for all the interesting thoughts and exchanges. I am grateful that I was ever in your confidence. Peace.

Young Feminist...

This is a stunning news story that I saw referenced in a recent issue of Time. In the Verbatim section of the magazine, it quoted Nujood Ali as saying, "I no longer think about marriage." and described her as the world's youngest divorcee. I was morbidly intrigued and looked the story up. Of course, after reading the article, I couldn't say that divorcee is an accurate title for the youngster. It was a stunningly inappropriate situation, much more akin to institutionalized torture than marriage.

Of course, I can't exactly inform the thoughts of my readers with the insightfulness of my commentary if I say that this is a horrifying violation of Nujool's youth and childhood. It's painfully obvious that such events are inexcuseably wrong. I just can't help but think of the children that I know in that age range. Most are hard-pressed to brush their teeth without regular reminders. My breath stops to think of a person harming them so! I sincerely hope that Nujool's care improves and that she can recapture some rest, peace and joy. She is an impressive little being to have broken free of her imprisonment.

Fun video link...

I'm mainly unfamiliar with The Gossip. I think I might have heard one or two of their songs on European radio. My boyfriend emailed me this link today. I found the song pretty good, but I really liked the video. I felt the video flatteringly portrayed a groovy bar scene with patrons of varying orientations or identifications. Also, their lead singer is dreamy looking. If you're bored:

More humor...

Hey, everybody needs to laugh during troubled times, right? This goes out to, well, quite a few of you. I loved the Book of Ruth, it's one of my favorites the regular, it's hysterical rendered in LOLCatSpeak. Reply with your favorites!

I'll do a real post someday...

This is from tribal_tiger, who seems to be a pretty reliable source of great videos online. This video is recommended for people who have time, who like cats and who are willing to anthropomorphize enough to extrapolate a great human truth from two animals and their behavior. I'm with the guy saying the corny bit at the end, myself! Heck, if they can work it out, why can't we have peace in the Middle East (or anywhere)?
