the worst part about the nail thing is the body remembers. i had a quota for patches for that machine to finish and it was not even half done. and i knew if i just stopped using it after it hurt me id be put off from using the really expensive machinei bought for the rest of time. every time i approached it for the next month i either found my hand behind my back or held to my chest. i couldnt stop thinking about it at night. it was nuts. learned a lot from that experience

Afaik if the needle hits a pin the wrong way, it could break & get flung at your face and give you an unexpected piercing. It's definitely better to remove them.
saw the same sentiment of sewing machine is horse like 2 months ago. i scoff. i hear stories of ppl sewing thru their fingers. just be smart, i think. I’m different i think.
fast forward to 4th of july where i suddenly have a needle size hole in both my nail and also in my fingerpad from two separate events and a small scratch in my glasses lens from where the foot wasn’t aligned correctly and the needle snapped on it and launched the tip right into my glasses. so fucking lucky i wear big fucking glasses man.
if you dont fear the machine on the get go it will teach you to fear it. it will put you in your place

any fields of mistria people know what the Romance Point of No Platonicism is on the romancable NPCs? i want to get to know some of these fellows better and do more of their events but also not necessarily date them. Is there like a bouquet item like stardew?
final artfight attack in the form of a patch for deluxeray! been learning to use my embroidery machine to make little guys like these among other things… a big struggle i have is these thicker satin stitches going around thicker corners like the point where the viewers left ear meets the body or the tip of the tail :thinking: the stitches can get loose and i have to fasten them to the back of the patch

last one was done with watercolor pens… would like to find a white opaque pen solution to these since gel pens are too water based and mix with the water reactive watercolor pigment! i just used plain gesso and a tiny paintbrush for these…

kind of love how much the themes of autonomy (or limitations of) are in deltarune. the whole “your choices dont change anything” thing from toby. all of the trans characters (kris ralsei mewmew), the conflicts over bodily autonomy within self (kris v soul, mew mew v mew mew, rudy v body, etc), ralsei vs the prophecy in general, the way susie likely has been told all her life that she cant do xyz but now has people who allow her to (major plot of ch1 was her choosing to do what she wants instead of should). carol/queen controlling noelle. weirdroute noelle feeling like choosing to be hurt is at least choice she can make in a life where she feels she doesnt have any choices that matter. the way darkners dont have autonomy over their light world selves/states.
and while autonomy i feel is a more specific term for this, of course a more thematic synonym is also freedom
