Join us for the Sonic Hedgehog unboxing party tourney!

No player limit, everyone who is available is welcome to join in the fun. 2pm start time. $5 entry fee. No pre-registration requirement, though do give us a courtesy heads up if you are coming so we know to expect you and can help you with the directions as the GPS systems can sometimes struggle to find the correct driveway (we will place giant size blow up silver Christmas Balls that resemble giant pinballs to help you find the driveway). The event host may cook a brisket or something, but bring some snacks and BYOB.

Format of Main Tourney:

There will be seven games played in the qualifying round. We will use matchplay best game modified decay (95%) scoring modeling for the qualifying round. Top 4 qualify for finals (or Top 8 qualify for finals if we have 17 or more attendees). The finals will be a four player game with last place dropping out and finishing 4th; then a three player game with last place dropping out and finishing 3rd; then one last head to head two player game for first and second. (Should we have an eight player finals those eight will be divided into two four player groups that do the procedures of the prior paragraph and then the winners of each group play off for first and second with one additional head to head game for 7/8, 5/6, and 3/4 for those that got knocked out).

Primary Side Piece: Side Tourney Format

The side tourney will be played on Sonic. Everyone gets one play and they are positioned based on that play. Top four qualify for the finals. The finals will be one four player game to determine 1st - 4th place. Only two meaningful games in the side tourney.
