pink_inkall my 3-sentence ficathon minifics in one post. i'm posting them as they are so as not to go down the editing rabbit hole for these.

"Just like you taught me," Zuko said.
He poured the hot water into the blue pot - his uncle's favorite - and watched the dark green leaves swirl. He put the lid on and waited, doing his best not to think, as the fragance unfolded. Was it time yet?
When he poured the tea into the cups, he noticed it was a tinge too dark; it would be bitter to the taste.
Zuko breathed, made himself smile.
"Maybe not quite. But it would be worse to waste it, as you used to say."
He carefully lit the inscence, bowed and placed the cup before his uncle's tombstone. His throat had closed by now, and speaking was difficult. He raised his cup, and two words was all he managed.
"Thank you."

"Ridiculous," Gimli protested. "Absolutely ludicrous."
Legolas smiled, ignoring as always the dwarf's complaints, as he plucked another daisy.
"Elven nonsense," Gimli declared, eyeing Legolas' slender fingers. The elf was weaving one flower into another, quick and nimble, as ever.
Within minutes, Legolas had finished a second flower crown. He presented it to the dwarf, winking.
A few moments passed before Gimli took it; color rising to his cheeks.
"Admittedly, it is ...fine work."
Gimli cleared his throat and slowly, carefully placed the crown on his head.
"Shame to let it go to waste," he declared.

Rey picked up the fruit and eyed it. She smelled it, and her expression went from curious to utterly delighted. Before Finn could stop her, Rey had already bitten into it; skin and all, juice dripping from her chin.
"It's amazing!" she exclaimed. Her mouth was full, her eyes lit up with excitement.
"It's a mango," Finn explained, amused. "And I brought you an entire box."
"Best thing I've ever eaten."
Finn laughed.
"Wait until you try the ripe ones."

Naruto caught Sakura's eye and she arranged her features into a smile, carefully concealing the grief they shared for their lost friend. As they conversed uneasily, dancing around the newly created vacuum in their dynamic, he wondered whether the three words he had held back might have made Sasuke stay. Then he remembered Sasuke's expression as they fought, and the words they'd exchanged between each blow. He was being an idiot, Naruto told himself, and it was hard not to hear the words in Sasuke's voice.

Sometimes Chidi wonders how he fell in love with this - forgive the expression - trashfire of a woman. But then Eleanor says something unabashedly earnest before flashing a nervous, gorgeous smile and making an inappropiate joke and she is perfect.
And so, when in a fit of drunk distrust, she asks "How do you really feel about me, Chidi? I mean ... really, really." all he can muster through the fog booze is "You are ... the corny jokes on a bad day and -- and the smell of pizza."

Zevran knew living was difficult when you carried pain, but guilt and regret had rendered it unbearable even to exist. The irony of seeking out his own death did not escape him, being so intimately familar with the manifold ways of ending a life.
Yes, a tragic demise at the hand of a Warden certainly was a worthy way to go. Even for a Crow.

"How goes the Orlesian saying? A ball without a little intrigue is just a musical soirée," Dorian offers, inspecting the gold rim around his wine glass.
Inquisitor Trevelyan laughs.
"'A little intrigue', huh? A vast understatement, I dare say."
Unlike Fereldan balls, which are intolerably dull affairs, the evening at Halamshiral had been anything but tedious.
"You know me," Dorian says, winking. He puts the glass aside and steps closer, runs his fingers over the back of Nathaniel's hand. "I am a subtle man."
"Oh, absolutely."
The Inquisitor nods towards the ball room.
"How about the dance you still owe me?"
Dorian leans in, and kisses his lover's neck. He feels Nathaniel relax and grins.
"It would be a shame to deprive the court of that particular scandal, wouldn't it now?"
And with that, he lets the Inquisitor lead the way.

they are aren't they. i think chidi is the most relatable character i have seen on tv. ever.
i had such high hopes for the chars in star wars. now i simply pretend only the first two movies exist :'D what i'm trying to say is, no worries, you didn't miss too much.

Right?? He's such a sweet anxious nerd. My feelings about how the series wrapped up are a little complicated, but I'm always going to love Chidi.
You aren't the only person I've heard this from, and even from a distance it makes me sad! But at least there's some gorgeous fanfic out there. And still being written, clearly!

either way, the fact that chidi exists makes me very happy! there is something delightful about seeing a black man being a sweet anxious mess and deeply loved, too.
i have very mixed feelings about star wars fandom, too tbh. but, as always, there's nice corners of fandom as well, so i try to stick to those.
(also, i realized i typed "first two movies" when i meant "first movie" ;;)

I'm ordinarily pretty spoiler-avoidant, but honestly, I might encourage it in this case. I liked a lot of the season, but the last couple of episodes knocked me for a loop.
Awww, yes! He's such a good character, and also, it's so good that as a character, he exists. (William Jackson Harper is some kind of acting genius for making him so real and so impossible not to love, too.)
Ugh, and that's very fair, obviously. I haven't ever been more than on the very outermost edges of it, but I've still heard some horror stories. But yeah. I appreciate awesome fanfic/fanart/etc. when it comes my way!

haha, yes! that's a good way to handle things. i'm at that point with many of my fandoms, where i don't actively seek out stuff, but am happy to stumble upon good fandomy things ^^

(Fwiw, if/when you do end up watching it, I found the discussion with the cast that aired after the finale helpful in resettling my emotions. It doesn't change anything about the show, obviously, but for me it was kind of like seeing actors take their bows after an emotionally intense play, I guess. Plus they all seem to care about each other a lot, which is lovely.)
