It's hard to believe it's only twenty-three days until The Great Boston Burlesque Exposition (www.Burlesque-Expo.com)! We're very excited to see you all in Boston -- and we hope you're excited too! Monday, Jan. 29 at 4 p.m. (Eastern time) Scratch and a bevy of burlesquers will appear in a one-hour special on everything burlesque: the modern burlesque scene, burlesque history (in Boston and beyond), The Great Boston Burlesque Exposition, and more. We'll be listening to a couple of cuts off of Make Some Noise: The Soundtrack to The Great Boston Burlesque Exposition, and – if we're lucky – even talking to a few of the musicians.

Monday, Feb. 5th at 7pm Boffo Box Office – Dancing girls! Desserts! Film noir! Who could ask for more? Boffo Box Office gives you more! We start the evening with Boston historian David Kruh and a lecture and slide show on The Old Howard, Boston's most significant burlesque hall. Following the lecture is a screening of Lady of Burlesque, starring Barbara Stanwyck. The film was based on the novel The G-String Murders by Gypsy Rose Lee, possibly the most famous 'lady of burlesque'. After the credits roll, The Boston Babydolls take the stage to give you a little taste of heaven, right in Brookline. If your sweet tooth isn't satisfied by burlesque dance, the party moves around the corner to Finale (1306 Beacon Street) for a buffet of tempting treats.
