I'm running a test to see who's reading my posts. So, if you read this, leave me a one-word comment about your day that starts with the third letter of your LJ USERNAME. Only one word please. Then repost so I can leave a word for you. Don't just post a word and not copy - that's not as much fun!
I did have some art in the works for a few people, but I probably wont get it online in time for actual Christmas. I've had to go to work a lot lately, and worked tonight and will again tomorrow night. yep
Well, I hope everyone has a good holidaytime! And the rest of all your time because why shouldn't that be nice, too?
I saw Chris Angel at work with his family and The Amazing Johnathon. Apparently they all like bowling, haha. I also saw Tracy Butler at comic con, as well as Rebecca Sugar. I dunno how famous she is, but I say it's worth mentioning because she is a really cool person.
Since I could only be at comic con for one day, I missed out on meeting Genndy Tartakovsky. I cannot begin to tell you how upset that made me. Pff I'm sad right now just thinking about it.
I have been pretty inactive lately, and I hope that's not misleading. I'm doing pretty okay, just busy with work and finding out I'm not so great at managing my time. But I miss doing art, so I'm trying to get myself to do it more. I'm gonna try to start using lj again, even if it just means cross posting from other place (mainly tumblr). I miss exchanging comments in a normal way, which cant be done on Tumblr. Except through private messages but I practically never get those. Anyway
Yeah sup lj Oh btw I'm gonna put these up again because I CAN aim: PigeonDandy email: dappergrackle@gmail.com im kinda weird and bad at dropping the first line but I promise I love it when people talk to me!
Oh jeeze, work was sooo insanely boring today. I did practically nothing for seven hours, feeling like a fifth wheel. A really squeaky, misaligned fifth wheel. And I can't sit down, except on break.
One person is leaving for back surgery, and another to have a baby, so I'm supposed to be learning control desk stuff because I'm taking over a graveyard shift in like... two weeks. There will apparently be a window of time during said shift where I will be alone at the desk. That is scary for me. Strangers make me nervous, especially if I have to handle their money. I want to be absolutely certain I'm not messing things up.
But my coworkers are just taking their time, being all "oh it's easy stuff you'll learn it fast!" so I'm hesitant to ask, because I'll feel dumb asking about something that is supposedly so simple. Maybe they don't realize I'm not getting very many days right now, so that two weeks is really more like a few days...
I guess I need to try to speak up, even if I'll look like a doofus. I suppose I can fix that reputation after I've learned how to do everything.
But dangit
Bowling is so boring to me. I still have no idea how people can take it so seriously as a sport... it's such a ridiculous activity. Let it be know that I'm not saying people shouldn't like it... I understand how it can be fun. But man, some of these folks get so worked up over rolling colorful balls at a bunch of hilarious-looking wooden things.
Car My Ford Explorer [accidentally typed Exploder first.... heheheh] turned out to be unfixable. Bummed me right out, but I'm driving mom's 2006 Toyota Camry, and she has a pre-owned '11 Camry now. I actually rather like both of them.
Job Since Mom knows people at the South Point bowling center, I was able to get a job there. Not the most glamorous or wished-for job, but the money was needed. I'm doing swing shifts... it's gonna be weird...
