Xenophobia

my brothers keeper /(NOT)

Our own against our own, children of the soil killing their fellow children of the soil. Together we’ve tried for generations to rise from the bottom of the barrels where no other souls would and never will quite grasp what it is really like. One would assume that coming from that very dark, muddy place where we’ve more than often gotten stuck, that we would stick together and be really united as African nations, and be right next to each other to fight the silent wars against our truest and most consistent enemies , corruption, oppression, poverty, mental slavery that has convinced most of our generations into settling for less in life and not believing that they are capable of achieving the unthinkable.
Xenophobic attacks happening in South Africa right at this moment, are the the perfect examples of this narrative. People from other African countries who’ve settled in South Africa for chances of a better life are being killed and tortured by literally their fellow Africans, due to the simple minded theory that is being applied in the USA as well about immigrants, “they’re taking our jobs and robbing us of our opportunities .”
Reading about the attacks in SA made me question a lot of things and also realize a lot of facts as well..
We are stronger fighting the same intangible but massive enemies together. We will never win unless we do it together. It’s simple. The xenophobic attacks in SA take away from the greatness and sacrifices of the likes of Nelson Mandela. They should be condemned and put to a halt immediately.

Pi formula

Hello, pi! I developed a pi formula a while back, in fulfillment of a long-term obsession. This is my sole mathematical achievement so far. I will post the formula here:

Pi = limn->∞ 2n+1( 2( 1 - Qn/Rn ) )½,

where

Rn = 21-2-n; Q1 = 1; Qn+1 = (Qn + Rn)½.

I will edit this post to include the derivation later, if I feel like doing that. Further details can be found in my post in the March 2009 mathematics community archive here.
