Capital operations are propelled by the modern factory system, expanding endlessly like a whirling spiral that absorbs everything into its own.

The critique of labor, division and machinery is the critique of civil society. In his youth, Marx aimed to surpass civil society both in theory and practice.

The internal relations between philosophy, political economy, and socialist thought in Marxian thinking are essential in understanding the philosophical context of Capital. The above three aspects exist as three distinct disciplines without internal relations in past research. This situation results in the loss of characteristics of Marxian thought so that the analytical depth revealed by Marx’s texts cannot be fully understood.

The division of labor is still an important turning point in the development of capital logic, although in the production of relative surplus value, cooperation constitutes the starting point of history.

“The Fetishism of Commodities” is the topic of Sect. 4 of Chap. 1 in Capital. The second edition of Capital concludes with this topic at the end of the Commodities Chapter. More importantly, in this chapter Marx summarizes philosophically the above arguments, and the critique of political economy is upgraded to the level of philosophical critique.

At the beginning of Capital, Marx points out “The wealth of those societies in which the capitalist mode of production prevails, presents itself as ‘an immense accumulation of commodities,’ its unit being a single commodity. Our investigation must therefore begin with the analysis of a commodity.”.

This book attempts to reveal Karl Marx’s philosophical critique of the social being in capitalist societies from the text of Capital. Marxists’ different understandings of Capital in different historical periods reveal the rich meaning of Capital, which plays an important role in promoting Marxian philosophy. These different modes of interpretation also mean that the understanding of Capital is endless, because re-reading of Capital will always open up a new realm for the interpretation of Marxian philosophy. However, in these new interpretations, there is no fundamental breakthrough in the illustration of Marx’s thought, because some either stick to the discussions in pure economic fields, some the revision of Marx’s manuscripts from the perspective of literature compilation, others the role of Engels’ edition. Metal roof enclosure system is an important part of steel structure construction. In recent years, it has been widely used in large-scale public or industrial buildings such as stadiums, airport terminals, and convention centers. Affected by bad weather, various types of accidents on metal roofs frequently occurred, causing huge property losses and adverse effects. Because of wide span, long service life and hidden fault of metal roof, the manual inspection of metal roof has low efficiency, poor real-time performance, and it (...) is difficult to find hidden faults. On the basis of summarizing the working principle of metal roof and cause of accidents, this paper classifies the fault types of metal roofs in detail and establishes a metal roof monitoring and fault diagnosis system using distributed multisource heterogeneous sensors and Zigbee wireless sensor networks. Monitoring data from strain gauge, laser ranging sensor, and ultrasonic ranging sensor is utilized comprehensively. By extracting time domain feature, the data trend characteristics and correlation characteristics are analyzed and fused to eliminate erroneous data and find superficial faults such as sensor drift and network interruption. Aiming to the hidden faults including plastic deformation and bolt looseness, an SVM fault diagnosis algorithm based on RBF kernel function is designed and applied to diagnose metal roof faults. The experimental results show that the RBF-SVM algorithm can achieve high classification accuracy. (shrink)

Due to extensive product differentiation and the personalized aesthetic needs of consumers, modern enterprises need different expressions of information to attract consumers’ interest and improve their purchase intention. This study draws from the elaboration likelihood model, anchoring theory, and media richness theory to explore how the expression of advertised information can be effectively matched to the product type to enhance consumers’ purchase intention. The mediating effect of information-processing fluency and moderating effect of consumers’ personal involvement on this relationship is also (...) explored. Data from experiments and questionnaires involving 1,292 participants were analyzed. The results show that direct expression of advertised information is more suitable for advertising search products, while metaphorical expressions of advertised information are more suitable for advertising experience products. These combinations of product type and expression of advertised information can effectively improve consumers’ purchase intention. Meanwhile, the main combined effect of the product type and expression of advertised information is mediated by consumers’ information-processing fluency, and moderated by consumers’ personal involvement positively. More precisely, we first introduce the logic WAuIBUL as a [0, u]-continuous wau-uninorm analogue of the involutive logic IBUL. We next discuss its algebraic semantics. We then introduce involutive wau-uninorms as involutive uninorms with weak u-associativity in place of associativity and deal with related properties. Corporate social responsibility (CSR) is widely recognized as a vital tool for reputational repair, yet its efficacy in addressing ethical challenges arising from social networks is unclear. Specifically, while firms leverage structural holes for their informational benefits, these network positions also create reputational risks that likely require tailored CSR strategies. This study addresses this gap by examining how firms’ structural holes—and the moderating role of industrial clusters—influence their engagement in different forms of corporate philanthropy. Based on a multi-industry sample of (...) 667 Chinese firms and a supplementary sample of 212 distributors from Chinese paper-making industry, our findings indicate that structural holes promote financial corporate philanthropy but discourage non-financial corporate philanthropy. Industrial clusters positively moderate both relationships. By shifting the scholarly focus from the informational benefits to the reputational implications of structural holes, this study contributes to disentangling financial and non-financial philanthropy as distinct strategic responses to structural holes. Considering three monetary policy rules, together with two endogenous macroprudential policies that are credit constraints for households and counter-cyclical capital for bankers, this paper establishes a dynamic stochastic general equilibrium model. Based on the welfare analysis of different combinations of macroprudential rules and monetary policy rules, this paper identifies the optimal policy combinations and analyzes the coordination effects between macroprudential policies and monetary policies. The results show that no matter what kind of monetary policy rules is implemented, the introduction of (...) macroprudential rules has improved the level of total social welfare. In the optimal “two pillars” framework of monetary policies and macroprudential rules, the main objective of monetary policy is to stabilize price inflation, and the macroprudential policy to be implemented is the CRR macroprudential policy. This combination can effectively promote the stability of the real estate market, financial market, and macroeconomy, while maximizing the improvement of total social welfare. (shrink)

In China during the 1930s and 1940s, Xiong Shili was active in the field of philosophy. His "New Theory on Singular Intuition" won him a reputation that brought widespread attention from academic circles. While Xiong's system of philosophy came into being and matured, studies of and commentaries about his ideas continued. In the 1950s, however, the study of modern Chinese philosophy was almost nonexistent, and so it was for Xiong's philosophy. Although Xiong wrote more than a million characters in several (...) works published over fifteen years after Liberation, he was completely ignored. Basically no one studied his work. Not only was his philosophy shunned, his name was never even mentioned. To compound this, he retired from the university, lived like a hermit, and no longer had contact with academic circles, until finally no one knew of his existence. Recently, with the deepening and expansion of study in the field of modern Chinese philosophy and a strengthening of exchanges with foreign cultures, scholars in China have begun paying attention to Xiong Shili's philosophy. At present, the news broadcast system using mobile network on the market provides the basic functions required by TV stations, but there are still many problems and shortcomings. In view of the main problems existing in the current system and combined with the actual needs of current users, this paper has preliminarily developed a news broadcast system based on 5G Live. The card frame adaptive strategy significantly improves the user experience by using gradual video frame buffering technology. Hardware codec technology (...) significantly reduces the consumption of system resources; H.264 high-compression algorithm can reduce network bandwidth by 50% compared with MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 without a significant change in image quality. At the same time, the use of mobile video acquisition terminals in the system not only solves the problem that satellite broadcast vehicles cannot reach the site due to the lack of roads but also greatly reduces the cost of early deployment and late maintenance of the news broadcast system. This paper studies the card frame adaptive strategy, the system resource consumption reduction solution, and the deployment scheme of the mobile video and audio transmission terminal, which is of great significance to improve the design and research of the news broadcast system under the wireless network application and also has certain reference value for the design of other broadcasting and television solutions. While competition has become increasingly fierce in organizations and in the broader market, the research on competition at an individual level is limited. Most existing research focuses on trait competitiveness. We argue that employee competitiveness can be state-like and can be demonstrated as an attitude toward and behavior representative of competition. We therefore propose a dynamic model with two separate components: competitive attitude and competitive behavior. Drawing upon self-determination theory and the person-environment interaction perspective, we examine how employee competitive attitude (...) and competitive behavior can be influenced by both personal characteristics and team climate, which in turn leads to different work outcomes, as demonstrated in two studies. Study 1 developed measures for competitive attitude and competitive behavior. Study 2 collected data from salespeople in a large insurance company in three waves. The results showed that employee competitive attitude and behavior could be predicted by personality. Moreover, employee competitive attitude and behavior were related to sales performance in differential ways via job crafting, and these mediated relationships could be moderated by team climate. These findings support the two-component dynamic model combining competitive attitude and behavior, which helps promote understanding of the dynamics of competition and its consequences at the individual level. Theoretical and practical implications are also discussed. (shrink)
