Abstract

The careless manner in which terms are often used interchangeably remains one of the primary sources of confusion both within and outside modern academic discourse. Nowhere is this more apparent than in discussions concerning predetermination. Within the Universal Truth Framework (UTF), this confusion becomes especially consequential, as the framework relies upon distinctions that, if collapsed, appear to threaten the very possibility of free will. For this reason, the concern regarding predetermination must be addressed directly and with precision.
