Abstract

This chapter cites that audio signals can be processed on the Teensy platform in the form of digital signal processing (DSP). Unlike the expensive analog processors of yore, Teensy microcontrollers can do the job with better fidelity and for a modest cost. The Teensy platform allows the developing of unique processing units that can function as a component of a Eurorack setup, live rig, or guitar effects pedal. The chapter elaborates on the use of two DSPs from the Teensy Audio Library and the creation of two custom DSPs that are not currently available in the library. It also mentions that advanced users can roll their DSPs, opening the door to many possibilities for custom effects.
