penny...after watching episode 16 of Transformers Prime, I now want the fic where
...Silas romances June Darby and becomes Jack's evil stepfather. *cough* I know! Tough to make work! For one, Silas would have to manage some charm. I mean, he has to be charismatic (in addition to competent) to: 1) recruit such loyal MECH soldiers; 2) maintain that sharp, sharp discipline that makes me 31 flavors of happy; 3) keep MECH funded; and 4) be the sole face of MECH. At least canon establishes that he's focused and driven. I can't quite see him turning a portion of that focus and drive to romancing a civilian (even if she is connected to the transformers he so very much wants to badtouch) when he can continue to monitor and electroshock robots offline for MECHbadtouching scientific inquiry.
For two, I like to read June as pretty savvy. In particular, savvy enough to see whatever charm Silas manages as an act. And I think she's smart enough to listen to Jack and Arcee when they'd do their panicked, "trust me, he is evil" warning in response to Silas showing up on the doorstep with roses. (Oh god, I think that image just broke my brain.)
So, uh, probably not going to happen. (Though I do have that vanilla kink square on my kink bingo card.) (Oh god, I think vanilla!kinked Silas just broke what's left of my brain.)
Scrap. It probably is going to happen.

- Fowler and June becoming friends. Maybe it eventually develops into a romance, or maybe it doesn't. Either way, they'd be cute. I bet Fowler would blush and stammer a lot, because she's good with those "stop bullshitting me" looks. :D
- June becoming Ratchet's human. She's an adult! Much more tolerable than those kids! And she's a nurse. They can bond over medicine or something.
- Arcee taking June out for midnight rides. YES PLEASE! Some mom/guardian bonding! And some loving shots of June on Arcee. Gnnh. Yes, I am shallow. I want to see hot lady on hot bike, please and thank you.
- Related to the item above, I might possibly confess to wanting Jack to be captured by Cons (ok, Knock Out, since I might be confessing), and Arcee and June riding to his rescue. A-and I might possibly want June taking a crowbar or something to Knock Out because he has her son, and you do not mess with her boy. Ever.
In short, I love Jack's mom and want to see more of her! <3

It's probably nicer to give Ratchet his human. Though it now occurs to me that June might be a way to torture Ratchet. In ways that are good for him. And fun. :D

!! omg. I think that would be the way to make the scenario work! Because you do not mess with her boy. Ever. And it's an effective way to get back at Silas, hurting him through MECH.

.....oh god. And Fowler having kittens because omgwhutSTOP! and trying to talk her out of it and all Jack can see is this horrible choice between government!stepdad or evil!stepdad because June is playing both men like puppets. [crowbars the bunny off the ankle] ...it would be awesome. ^_^

I just! Rose! I have Silas badtouching Arcee in the garage having a creepy, "we're practically ~family~ now, Jack" conversation, and Jack being all snarky-panicky with a side of "leave my bike and my mom alone" *glare*.
A-and Fowler being all, "...you know, for a minute there, I thought you liked the secret agent type." And June replying, "only the good secret agents" and walking off as Fowler stammers and gapes and wonders if she's really flirting with him or just playing. Still.
And Ratchet: *pfft* I knew she could handle it.
Arcee: Right. That's why you were throwing fits.
Ratchet: I WAS NOT!
Optimus: He did fret, June. We were all worried.

Silas may THINK he's got an in because June can't identify him on sight (and Jack's only seen him in Mech gear... I bet Silas can clean up damned tasty when he wants to in civvies...)

She doesn't know who he is, and while he prefers MECH gear, he does look damn fine in civvies, thank you. Also, Jack is a high-strung sixteen year-old boy who breaks curfew. Who's mom going to believe? (Oh, he so underestimates June!)

And her and Ratchet, snarking. Possibly with her putting her hands on her hips and saying, "Yes, DOCTOR" in that way that nurses do, and Ratchet sort of squinting at her because he's pretty sure she just insulted him but he's not sure how.... :D
