Edit in Dec 2009: OMG there were a ton of people who had friended me for fic that I think I missed when I went friends-only or LJ messed me over when I went from Paid to Regular account. Argh!

from self-flagellation to amusement... improvement!

Can I just say that in the 10+ months it's been since I stalled on "All The Leaves" I am SO GRATEFUL that other fic-writers stepped up to the 616 plate? Because that pressure of being the "only" half-way decent 616 fic around for a while was KILLING me.

I was so glad when "Sins of Omission" by Kiyaar and "Relativistic Heat Conduction" by SakuraTsukikage distracted everyone. SO VERY GLAD! (oooh...and that ElspethDixon and Seanchai finally finished the epic "Reassembled"! *throws confetti*)

I shouldn't be this nervous, but I am. I've posted 2 things in less than a week after and entire year of drought and self-doubt and seething self-hatred.... one of them a new chapter in a highly read WIP that I should have just fucking taken down because... because... whatever I post now will NEVER match expectations and I'm only going to get my ass lit on fire and and argh... whatever.

I'm going to be sitting over here being sick to my stomach. Sorry.

Dear Fandom:

Right now, my real life fucking sucks. I have NO headspace for writing or creativity of any kind. I can barely even stand to look at my favorite fandoms for fear my inner hell will spill over and contaminate them and make me unable to view them with any kind of love or caring ever again.

So asking me repeatedly by anon comment if I'm going to "finish" a WIP fic moves me inches closer to deleting the whole fucking lot of them.

No pressure.
