[livejournal.com profile] giethe sent me a text message asking how I was doing. I didn't think I had been inactive that long, but thank you for thinking of me, [livejournal.com profile] giethe! I am still living and I am sorry my health is a cause of worry. I will send a text message in the event it actually does become a cause for worry for the sake of proper information dissemination... or, huh. Maybe not? >_>

Happy Birthday [livejournal.com profile] codegal182!

I hope you have an awesome day today and every day after. I don't know what to wish for you, but I hope you become content and happy! *hug* And because I am utter fail and could only greet them via a journal/forum post:

Happy Belated Birthday [livejournal.com profile] senorita_rayne, [livejournal.com profile] eloni!

I am sorry I couldn't do a birthday post on the respective dates. ...I wonder if I should greet [livejournal.com profile] twylise now too? When is your birthday, [livejournal.com profile] crystaldawn?

Things of interests: (maybe)
- Well hello there, Ironman anime! It's by Madhouse + Marvel and the poster looks pretty enough. But... Ironman anime, haha! I am totally gonna watch it, of course!
- When you combine that with the High School Musical manga and the Twilight manga waybackwhen, I guess it's not just the Western market stealing borrowing material from the East but vice-versa too.
- Hourou Musuko was licensed by Fantagraphics Books. I have no words to express my happiness. HOUROU MUSUKO in BOOK FORM GET!
- The Misadventures of PB Winterbottom has puzzles, stylistic art and PIE. It could not make me want it more. Now all I need is an xbox. Look how pretty it is! Hi, I am an embedded video! )

Random Things:
- Been sick. This is the most note-worthy thing that happened to me for about a month. I know how pathetic that sounds, yes.
- Switched to the BASIC account because the ads gave me malware/spyware/IDEK. I have yet to completely purge this laptop of it (Hello, My Tech-Incompetency!). I miss more icons space (all 5 of them I can't use anymore, lol) but it's not different enough to be noticeable. I don't have the money to spend for the paid account either.
- Changed my hairstyle. Will provide pics if I can find that cable that connects my cellphone to my laptop.
- It's pathetic how I can't think of things IRL that I can share. =/ I need to get out more, clearly.

Manga Stuff:
- Bleach 392:
LOL, that colorspread! )

- Naruto 482: Chibi!Karin, eee! )

- One Piece 574: ;_______; )

- xxxHolic 199: Read more... )

- Reborn: Not much since I don't really follow it much and kinda forgot the plot. But someone needs to color the last page. I'm just sayin'! Also, lol Gokudera. You're a fanboy in every incarnation, aren't you?

Stuff No One Cares About:

1) Shadow of the Colossus is an awesome, awesome game. It has a sweet, understated love story for those who love their shoujo tropes; enough adventure, puzzles and badassery for those who love their shounen tropes; a gorgeous world for those who love their scenery porn; excellent music for those who love their soundtracks; a wonderful story filled with mythology and conspiracy for those who love their plots; and most of all, it has a unique, engaging battle system that sets it apart from other games. It has the story, the characters, the world, the music and the gameplay for a really spectacular game.

So when I say it really doesn't need any moe-factor to rack in interested parties, I'm not lying. Really. Really really. The art is pretty and all, but please. Please bring back the sheer unadulterated excitement I felt when I was first told this game would have a doujin under its fandom. I want that wonderful feeling back before it crashed and burned with the knowledge the doujin would be about anthropomorphic moefied colossi. ((@A@)) Oh, Wanda. What have your struggles been reduced to.

Thank you for making me feel better, The Last Guardian trailer! Why so awesome, Team Ico? )

2) HI. DOES ANYBODY KNOW WHERE I CAN GET AWESOME ANISSINA screencaps? Actually, awesome Anissina icons would be better as I suck at icon-making. Please, please? I need an Anissina icon!

3) I... don't know whether I want Final Fantasy XIII anymore. Apart from the fact that, well, I have no PS3 nor XBox (which would be a must), /v/'s been translating 2ch posts about it and I don't think I like the changes. ON THE OTHER HAND it's still so, so pretty and the women are gorgeous. And I like gorgeous women. Gorgeous women in plentiful, I like even more. So. Uh. Well, that doesn't really change the fact I don't have a console to play it on, though.

4) I've been re-reading Pandora Hearts and... I now have this incredibly lame-ass crackified theory that I know is contradicted by canon but I can't help thinking about because of Horcruxes. Seriously! It won't leave my head! It leaves a lot of threads hanging, especially regarding Elliot (who I love) but. But...! I can't help thinking it has merit even if just a tiny one! (BEWARE SPOILERS) )

END: I have posted 666 comments. I usually don't visit my profile page, so visiting one day and seeing that offhand is really funny. Haha! I'm off to change it! (the number of comments, I mean)

Everyone's doing it, so I figured I would too.. Except I'm really bad at this summarizing my year thing so I thought, "OKAY, maybe not then!"

Regardless of the levels of my suckdom, please accept well wishes for a HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE! from me! I hope those who've had it good would continue the trend! I wish better days for those who've had normal days! And I wish a tidal wave of happiness for those who've been having rough patches in their year.

I'll see everyone next year! =D

Ouran-talk

Since the last time [livejournal.com profile] twylise gave me those MU links for Ouran Host Club (ep 09 & 10, IIRC), I haven't downloaded any of it yet. Bittorrent seems to hate me and stops before completion. I am reduced to re-watching all 10-and-below episodes and re-reading the mangas I have.

(this is a HINT. Will selflessly offer e-cookies, e-ice creams and e-cakes for LINKS)

I also realize that Mori/Haruhi is silently becoming my OTP, while Kyouya/Haruhi stealthily manipulated its standing in my Most Favored Ship list until its reached the second place. There is something about Kyouya and Haruhi's similar drive for their successful futures that makes me think they would understand each other. There is something profound in the silent way Mori and Haruhi DO understand each other.

Can those who watch Ouran (and have gone through the might-be-murky waters of fandom) provide links for, uhm, recs of any kind? It doesn't have to be ship-specific. GEN is VERY GOOD and I won't complain about any ship either. FIC or ART or ICONS or AMVs or ANYTHING ELSE. I shall bake you things that you can never eat but it's the thought that counts anyway will look delicious on screen! Please?

Will be biased for the ships stated above though, cause they are newly-born and still close to my heart. :D

QUIZ: Ruler of the Land )

Don't like that title much, but CATS! And DRAGONS! And DOUBLES and CYBORGS! Tapestry? Thou shalt never beat me! And look at that popularity! I shall never be overthrown!

I shall now end this by butchering grammar with multiple exclamation points!!!

DO-IT-YOURSELF DEATH LESSONS:

The book, Final Exit, is a manual for committing suicide or helping someone else do to do so. It sold out its first printing of 41,000 copies and will top next week's list of how-to and advice bestsellers in the New York Times. The volume explains, step by step, how to end a human life; it includes charts for legal dosages of 18 prescription drugs, primarily pain killers and sleeping tablets; it debates and debunks the merits of cyanide; it offers abundant practical advice about asphyxiation by platic bag or auto-exhaust.

Even more jarring to critics, the book exhorts doctors and nurses actively to abet the "self-deliverance" of the terminally ill. Author Derek Humphry contends -such assistance is common but tacit-. "Part of good medicine is to help you out of life as well as help you in," he argues. "When a cure is no longer possible and the patient seeks relief through euthanasia, the help of a physician is most appropriate."

I wonder what was passing through the head of the person who wrote it. These things don't usually leap to the fore-front of your mind, does it? Can't imagine myself going from, "I'm bored. There's nothing to do," to "I KNOW. I'll write a book on how to kill myself or help someone else do so!" at all, no matter how bored I may be.

I wonder if the writer is a lonely person. If he wanted to die so much he actually made a book out of it. Or maybe he's a hateful person. Maybe he wanted a lot of people to die. Maybe that why he had so much knowledge about it.

Or maybe he's just one of those people who have the tendency to do/say the most insane things for the shock/titillating value of it. Or one of those kind of people who do things just because it's never been made before.

Even weirder than the fact that a book about suicide/murder exists is the fact that so many people bought it.

Or maybe they're just curious. I'm curious too, a little bit. Not enough to spend money over it, but enough to ponder how many ways a person could die through artificial means. Does that sound morbid?

What is GIP?

I mean, what does it mean? Is it an acronym of a fandom term like BNF or is it netspeak like OMG LOLZ? Where did it originate and how is it used properly?

This post is brought to you by my own curiosity. No, really. I've been wracking my brains but it just won't cooperate with me.

Anyone?

So. While running in a VERY CAREFUL manner, I accidentally tripped. And I ended up on my back in a very embarrassing heap, my head connecting intimately with the CONCRETE FLOOR that it seems to have been crushing on for years. One might think that it's unlikely my head loves the floor, but it's actually quite simple why. )

TITLE: Chemical Imbalance.
SUMMARY: It's called pheromones. Ah, crap. Apparently, it was just a perfume. Boo!
NOTES: So. Because [livejournal.com profile] kikachan posted this link to the KKM novel translation, the fact that Yuuri is actually Obliviously Gay™ hasn't stopped floating through my head. Add that with the hurtses and the pain killers and the PAIN and. Well. That. SO! It is disgustingly fluffy and too-WTF-short! to be coherent but, uhm . . . I AM HURT SO LET ME BE, OKAY? I am seriously abusing the capslock key today.

"You smell good," Yuuri says wonderingly, taking a sniff at Konrad before moving away. "Really good. Is that a perfume?"

Konrad just answered him; Yuuri knows this because he's watching Konrad's lips but he can't quite focus on the words. It takes him a moment to realize he's practically leaning on Konrad's shoulder – Konrad's worried face dangerously close to his own – before a blush steals stealthily over his face, an embarrassed laugh escaping his lips.

"Really good," he repeats, moving away. He coughs. "Have I said that?"

"Yes, you did. Heika?" Konrad is starting to look like he's figured something out. "Yuuri, my mother . . . was she the one who told you to make me wear this shirt?"

Yuuri inhales deeply once before answering but he somehow forgot the question by that time, so all that came out was, "Uhm . . . Huh?"

"This shirt, Yuuri. Did my mother touch it?"

And Konrad's lips have started twitching just the slightest bit upwards and had Yuuri not suddenly found that exceptionally pleasing, he might have had the mind to be curious about it.

"She, uh . . ." It's quite a task to remember. "She kinda glomped it, actually, said it was your color, you'd look great in it, she has such handsome sons. You smell really good, Konrad. I like it."

Konrad blinks.

And then he smiles like Yuuri has just told him a secret.

He lifts a hand to carefully brush Yuuri's bangs away, saying, "Thank you, Yuuri," and Yuuri leans into the touch and smiles back.

He's not smart enough to understand this very well but Konrad's here, so it'll be okay. He'll ask Konrad about it later maybe, when Konrad isn't smelling so good, when he isn't looking at Yuuri like Yuuri has just scored the homerun that won them the greatest game of the century.
