Hi, everyone! I'm
paradise_city on LJ and
paradisecity here; clearly an underscore makes all the difference.
Granting Access/Subscribing
For now, my policy is this:
I'm currently experimenting with DW as my primary journal. Entries are crossposted to LJ, but in the interest of consolidation, all comments are directed to DW. Because my DW entries are filtered just as my LJ entries are, you'll need some type of account if you'd like to comment. You can open a DW account for free with an invite code; I have codes available if you'd like one. Alternatively, you can use your LJ Open ID on DW, as I have everyone's LJ Open ID account friended. This FAQ will walk through the one tme process of validating your LJ Open ID, as well as setting and validating your email address, which allows you to be notified of comment replies. Using your LJ Open ID gives you all the reading/commenting benefits of a DW account without actually signing up for one. If you have any difficulties, you can leave a comment here, no account necessary, and I'll do my best to resolve the isue.
I apologize for the inconvenience and I understand if you choose not to comment on DW because it's too much of a hassle. However, I'd like to continue to interact with my flist despite switching services and I'd like to thank everyone who's made that possible.
Granting Access/Subscribing
For now, my policy is this:
- If we're friended on LJ, I'll automatically grant you access to my journal and subscribe to yours.
- If we're not friends on LJ, I'll most likely grant you access to my journal and subscribe to yours on a case by case basis. Granting access/subscribing is about privacy and time management, and not at all about the cool kids' table.
