after january, lv is going to stop producing the murakami line.
what are your thoughts on the limited edition line?
i own a black murakami speedy & i adore it.
it's really a stunning bag that compliments a beautiful coat
or outfit,
i'm tired of the tracksuit look with the bag. it cheapens it.
not a big fan of soccer moms in jeans and sneakers wearing it
with a trucker hat and messy hair.
if you want to see a picture, i'll post one.

i have a love/hate relationship with louis vuitton.
i think this season's collection is IT. just beautiful, gorgeous, inspiring, etc.
but LV is letting go on their service, methinks.
i bought shoes a while ago with a scratched heel that i had to go back
to get fixed.
and i bought a black murakami speedy with a few scratches on the gold hardware
that i have to go back and exchange.
it's been like paying for a project. you'd think spending that much money
would guarantee perfection but with LV it doesn't. that is so upsetting
because i love their collection so much.
i'll continue to buy from them but in the back of my mind it'll be such a chore
like, the saleslady will wish me a nice day and i'll be like, "yeah you too. see you tomorrow when i come back to get what i just bought fixed or exchanged."

The end of couture?
Versace and Ungaro pulled the plug for this upcoming fashion week. No more couture -for now-.
and Pierre Berge, -the long-time partner of Yves Saint Laurent-, has made comments on couture dying with the retirement of Mr. St-Laurent.
On the other hand, Imitation of Christ's Tara Subkoff is looking for financial support so IOC can show in Paris ...
Thought it may spark your interest.
PS. Hi! Me newbie!

excerpts from an old article.

And in a funny way this is what sets Mr. Slimane himself apart: the allure of the clothes can't be completely explained. ''You know,'' he said, ''men are not supposed to be mysterious. That's what you say about women. But I think men can have a little of it, too.''
really? i think men should actually be more mysterious.
Mr. Slimane conceded that it's difficult to explain how a novice designer could be plucked from obscurity and put at one of the most venerable houses in Paris. But he suggested that the reason was somehow wrapped up in the mystique of Saint Laurent and, more, in the mercurial nature of its chairman, Pierre Berge. ''I don't think this house perhaps likes to hire known designers,'' said Mr. Slimane, who was working for the Paris press agent Jean-Jacques Picart when he was hired. Before that, he worked for the designer Jose Levy. ''It's something that makes Saint Laurent particular.''
not much is said about hedi's history. i remember him replying vaguely to a question about his relationship with pierre berge or jean-jacques picart and how it started. now i want to find out. it's funny, he's so famous, and we think we know about him but we don't!

his trademark sulky face. i like it.

yowza.
oh yeah and i think helena looks cute in a tie, she just needs to lay off on the shine, it's highlighting all the wrong contours of her face and ageing her.
