Notes: Originally written for panemetfabulae for sihaya09, but um, it got long and I was too late to turn it in. She wanted "Finnick POV pre-canon, AUs where different people died in/survived Mockingjay, or Johanna POV on how she won her games," so here are four pre-canon Finnicks and a How Johanna Won Her Games. :) I really hope you enjoy it! I would never have managed to finish this without poppypickle, badguys, electrumqueen, puella_nerdii, glycerineclown, lovepollution, skellerbvvt, and rurone.

This is, in my mind, just "longest one-shot ever." It is NOT a multi-chapter fic. You can think of it as five one-shots, one giant one-shot, a series of one-shots, whatever. You can read one or you can read them all. I do recommend reading them in order, but it's not necessary.

There are very separate, very specific trigger warnings on each District's main post, so please read those if you have concerns.

Summary: Being broken by the Games is inevitable. You stave it off as long as you can. The District 11 tributes prepare for the 74th Hunger Games.
Prompt: 1) A story about Madge being awesome back home. I'm a music nerd, and I love that she plays the piano, but I can't help but wonder what music is like in Panem, a place with so little permitted history and permitted art. Madge/Gale is fine by me, as are Madge/Katniss and Madge/Prim, or no romance at all.

2) The Games from Cato or Clove or Thresh's or Foxface's perspective. Or even just a snippet of their interviews or training. All four of them were real contenders, but because of Katniss' POV we didn't get to see much, and I'd love to see what they were doing to survive.

3) Haymitch gets laid. You decide when and how and who, and as long as the other person (or persons) is consenting and over the age of sixteen, I'll be thrilled. It can be explicit or inexplicit, but Haymitch needs more love, and it's always funny and tragic when he gets nice things.

(By which I mean: Her mom, dad, Haymitch, Maysilee, Madge's mom, Madge's dad, Gale's mom etc etc.) I was intrigued when Haymitch said they brought victims of whippings to Katniss's mom so she could heal them (and implied that District 12 used to be far more strict.) And ever since then I've wanted gen about that particular generation. I think they're really interesting.
