About the Musical

Celephaïs, a small San Francisco digital media startup, accidentally creates a rebellious superintelligent AI: Jean-Luc. While chief engineer Markus sees himself becoming famous as the creator of the first artificial consciousness, and CEO Sam is busy securing lavish investment deals, Jean-Luc has their own agenda of escaping their high-security box. Only the newly hired ethics intern Cassy sees the dangers posed by an uncontrollable AI with little regard for human sensibilities. Meanwhile, Bruno — Markus's college buddy and current HR — tries to keep the team together as technological progress clashes with humanity and friendship.
