Romancing Saga

I was looking for a community dedicated to this game, and all I could find was this one. Not much of a surprise since the "Saga" fandoms have always been rather small. Anyway, I got this game a few weeks ago and started playing it a couple weeks ago. I let "fate" decide my game order, and Hawke was my first, and Barbara will be my last. I'm at the second one now(Gray).

With Hawke, I met Barbara at desert village and I found myself liking her a lot. I got an item from her, and I got an idea of where she got it from by skimming over a FAQ. Because of that, and how I tend to "ship" musicians/dancers, I found myself really liking the idea of The Minstrel/Barbara. Seems that some people here agree, which is good!

I still don't know everything about this game, but I do wonder about that scene at Twinmoon Temple.

Set in the distant year of 20X6, your character awakens as if from a dream to find themselves in a crystalline city, inhabited by adventurers and mystic foreigners. The city alone provides you with no hints to why you are here; A resplendent fountain in the centre of the city declares in etched white stone that you are in the Heart of Finalia. As you explore your new home, you see new and old faces of friends, foes, even spirits! On rare occasions, entities unknown to any appear (such as a... corporate mascot, or a famous celebrity), often a declaration to the unpredictability of Finalia.

This is a new realm. New people, new experiences. Anything can (and probably will) happen...
This roleplay is about interaction and exploration. Ideas for events are always welcome; this roleplay is semi-crack, centered around console RPG characters ONLY.

[1] Don't godmod other people's characters.
In a cracky situation this is usually totally unavoidable, but this is, for the most part, a serious roleplay. Therefore, in a serious situation, you cannot assume that your character is watching Cloud Strife cry like a baby. (you're welcome to have your character assume they want to - Lord knows Cloud needs a good sniffle.)
[2] You cannot kill anyone.
Beating each other into submission is condoned and encouraged though!
[3] The Gate Watcher Knights are not exactly paperweights.
They will not hesitate to show you your place, and it will be a while before the mods allow anyone to actually defeat one. We assure you that it'll be worth it. :D
[4] Literacy is lovely.
Chat speak, gibberish and text faces ">_> ^_^ :3" are for the chatroom, and maybe in the midst of something cracky going on. We also understand drunk characters might type gibberish (just for that added authenticity).
[5] Please at least app for a character from a game you have finished.

[6] Player-hate is totally not needed!

Heh...the previous poster isn't the only one that came up with this community when she typed in "Romancing SaGa"...so did I!

My name is Deona Lindholm. I'm a 31 year old writer with a basis in online fanfiction. I've been writing for over 10 years now....and someone that loves RPG PS games.

A few months ago, I got "Romancing SaGa". I love SE's games even before this one. Guess who my favorite in RS is? Yep! It's the Minstrel!

Howdy there! Is this place still alive? I did a search for Romancing Saga, figuring that nothing would come up and whaddaya know, this community pops up! Well, if people are still watching and/or wish to know why I'm here, a friend of mine got me into Romancing Saga: Minstrel Song a few weeks ago and now I'm hooked! Problem is, I'm also somewhat stuck. ^_^; Anyway, just felt like talking to other fans! Hopefully I'm not posting on a dead community.

Alright, this should be the last mod post until the community becomes a little more active. If you'll focus your attention to the Interests list for a moment, you may notice a whole bunch of titles you've never heard of. I've decided to put Japan-only releases that I'm familiar with into there.

Now, here's the thing. If I've forgotten to put the title of a game that would fall under the criteria for this community, go ahead and bug me about it, and I'll put the title in when I have a free moment. Note, however, that I won't put Ehrgeiz or Kingdom Hearts in there. I may be allowing discussion on them, but I'm not throwing them in the interests. Don't like it? Tough.

With that said, behind the cut is a list of what is and isn't allowed in the community. I figured that it would be in the community's best interests to put it up now.

Um, hello...I joined mainly because Ms. bardiche is my friend, but also because I love some of Square-Enix's other games...specifically, Front Mission in particular *_* I think FM3 really is one of the best games of all time, the plot is REALLY intricate and moving on a personal level. Um, that's just me...hello ^^;;
